Yesterday afternoon this hat FINALLY arrived after having been stuck in the USPS "no man's land" for 13 days. I don't know who made this hat but it seems exceptionally well made. The felt is thin and soft and molds like clay with no steam required. I tried my best to capture the true colors and highlight the wide triple stitched brim edge binding that make this hat so special to me.

Outstanding velour, Steve. Fabulous petting hat!

Thanks, Steve. It was surprising to me as well; rarely find high quality hats offered by Spanish sellers. Pretty sure I posted the JHS here, but it was a while ago.
Stefan, Thank you! I use to check some Spanish sites. I can't remember if I ever made a transaction. Again great series of hats!

Silverbelly Stetson Gun Club time for the rain this morning.

This hats getting ready to get a little bit of reblocking and reshaping maintenance. it just looks too similar to one of my favorite Cowboy conversions.... Maybe reshape the teardrop into a diamond bash... Will also finally restitch the ribbon down lower where it should be... (getting tired of looking at the stitching on the crown peeking out lol). Thinking of replacing the 1" ribbon with a slightly smaller 3/4" or even a 5/8" one. That should help make the Campaign bow look a tad less frilly.

Brüder Böhm "Ascot", Wool, possibly mid 1930s and a recent arrival.

Brüder Böhm, Hat Liner Print Plates, from the Nový Jičín / Neutitschein factory.

Back in 2015 I purchased a collection of old (probably 1930s and older) hat liner print plates (82 pieces) from the Czech Republic. They were found near Štramberk which is a short distance from Nový Jičín / Neutitschein where Johann Hückel´s Söhne, Anton Peschel and Brüder Böhm were located

Thanks, guys!
David, I’m curious, is the felt on yours thin, super soft and the finish a really, really short velour?
It’s very thin, soft felt—in fact I had to apply stiffener to the brim because it would just tweak all over the place when I tried to put it on my head. I suspect that’s why it is in such good condition—it was basically unwearable. I don’t think it is velour but it feels in every way like a very high end hat.

A high end feel indeed!
I had the same problem with mine. Real floppy. And the brim also had tiny crease like peaks all the way around, but using a flange on it once a year or so, the iron stiffens it up and also keeps it good and flat. Another thing that helps with brim wonkyness is using an old styled hat stretcher while doing the flange work.
Wonky brims is usually caused from inserting a long oval head into a round oval hat.
If the hole is long enough inside the flange then you can use a smaller than usual stretcher to turn a round oval hat into a long oval.
Honestly, every man that hangs out here on the FL should have a good flange and antique stretcher tools. If one makes sure to find out how to use them correctly, They’d enjoy their vintage and new hats much, much more.
