Thank you, all. The Strat is not in pristine condition (John was upfront about that when he sold it to me), but I like it a lot. Definitely an excellent addition to my collection.
As for the new look, Etsuko’s finally getting used to the shaved head. I don’t think she’s a fan of the goatee, but I tidied it up a bit last night, so she was pleased with that.

Thanks to John @moehawk, this beautiful Stetson Flagship has joined my fedora stable. I've read that the Petersham ribbons only went on the first couple of years' productions, so I'm estimating 1946 or 1947. I also gained my first ever

model-specific hatbox! Woo-hoo!!!!

Me too Mark...about 1978 or so I reckon them things were on every cowboy hat in sight !

Back in the day those WERE everywhere... when Urban Cowboy came out they got bigger... looked like an owl crashed into the whole front of the hat lol
