Cool. Nice job Randall.Early 40s melusine Stetson and a 1978 Case trapper knife that I added a scale/handle yesterday.
I recently bought the knife for $28 missing a handle on one side and figured I could make one out of JB Weld. I did the “jigging” using the side of a Dremel tool and small round bit.
Then dyed it brown with Rit dye and sealed with lacquer.
Oddly, as far as a cursory research, Case has commemorated every thing, famous person, company and historical event that ever existed—except Stetson hats; which I found puzzling.
So, I took the matter upon myself and embedded this gold Stetson hat pin.
In the last photo you can see the factory handle for comparison. View attachment 583357 View attachment 583358 View attachment 583357 View attachment 583358

Great hat.. love the ribbon treatmentBorchert Berlin W., possibly early 1950s. I found this Soft Felt back in 2014 and haven't shown in here since 2019,
This is a well worn Borchert Berlin W. box that came with this Soft Felt.
Good lookin' hat, and a FINE job done on the Case!Early 40s melusine Stetson and a 1978 Case trapper knife that I added a scale/handle yesterday.

Joe, I am in AWE of that band!Dobbs with Guild edge in a felt that could be called black hole. It’s not labeled as Fifteen on the sweat… but it was a $15 hat. It has a true guild edge (Cavanagh) unlike the Fifteens I found recently with Dobbs edge. Once upon a time this was my widest brim at and 2 3/8. Love the proportions

Great looking hat with a cool self felted band. Love the whole look!Took my wife to a PT appointment, then browsed my local western wear hangout and stopped at the state liquor store to replenish my Rock and Rye. (Covering ALL the important bases this afternoon!) Wear today was my 6X Stetson Skyline in chocolate.

Ahh, the quietude of snow! And I can feel that cool 20 degrees through the photo… perfect napping weather!!Enjoying some down time at the (frozen!) pond wearing my final Fawcett felt. Outside we’re at approximately 20 degrees F, but I still need that fine, refreshing feel of frost for a great nap…
Even my dog moves closer to window for the fresh air rush, @The Lost Cowboy. It’s the best!!
The snow absorbs sound, too, making it hard to hear the snow machine engine whine.

New to me 1940s long hair green Royal De Luxe Stetson. This was listed as gray, but seemed like a pale green online.
