Been a while since I've seen that one. Such a great style with the underwelt binding and that almost caramel colour.

Thanks Stefan. I don't take this one out often enough nor as often as it deserves.Been a while since I've seen that one. Such a great style with the underwelt binding and that almost caramel colour.
Wow, wow, and then some more wow, AlanEvery once in a while I like to let the old cats out of the bag. This is my second oldest, sold in Buffalo circa 1860. Alas, too windy to wear it in the parade.

How did I overlook your gracious comment? Perhaps I should enter it in the: "You Know That You Are Getting Old Thread." Your comment is most appreciated, thank you. Most excellent, sir, top to bottom!
Started out in a 4x6 western until I stepped out the door and almost lost it in the wind. Switched to something more aerodynamic.

That's what those bowlers are built for! Another nice one, Bob.
My favourite of last week is definitely the Mertés de Luxe, Stefan. The hats of the week. What did we have?
Strong winds on monday called for a bowler. The Clarence was on duty (and performed brilliantly) View attachment 499477
A bit less wind on tuesday and this Kohlndorfer homburg was called for.

Thanks, Steve. Glad I decided to go for that one and cool to see both Martin and Steve go full Sherlock mode and turn up all that info.My favourite of last week is definitely the Mertés de Luxe, Stefan.
What a lot of new info we've gotten about the company after your original post yesterday. So great to have such knowledgeable folks on this forum.
Thanks a lot.Welcome back after a hibernation. I see no challenge with wearing caps and hats. Glad to see you back showcasing your glorious hat collection sir.
Felice primavera!
What a line up! Just fabulous! There isn't a Homburg in my wardrobe but I tell you Stefan,The hats of the week. What did we have?

Thank you, Robert. A fine homburg should be on everybody's hatrack, so there's a challenge. Would go fine with the MG running around as well. Just as fine as your current outfit, I'd think. Not quite spring weather here yet, but there are promising signs. What a line up! Just fabulous! There isn't a Homburg in my wardrobe but I tell you Stefan,

But for this Kohlndorfer, I could easily make an exception.
You are all wrapped up against the chill, here in Southern England the sun shines, not quite warm enough for the straw hats just yet, but the Aloha shirts and the Strat-a-like make an appearance. If it gets warmer still, I might wake the old MG up.

Not that I need an excuse to wear my MG shirt.
Clarence and the Mossant doing it for me… and of course the Dublin! The hats of the week. What did we have?
