It's one of those: "you know that you are getting old," days today. Later this morning I have a medical appointment. It's for insurance purposes. My doctor is so old school, not for him the relaxed casual look. Chances are he will be wearing one of his Savile Row suits, on the hat stand will be either his trilby or homburg and his shoes will gleam. Lets give him some competition. The hat is one of Gamble & Gunn's bespoke.
Sweet looking hat. I've been eying gamble & gunns hats.

I got your connection made with the Crosby derby. With David Crosby’s recent passing Roger McGuinn is the only member of the Byrds left living. Sorry for the confusion.
I wasn’t too confused. I figured he was one of the Byrds, and Googled it to check. It’s just that when I hear “12 string guitar,” my brain instantly thinks “Leadbelly”.

Super hat, Brent.
Echter Borsalino, possibly 1920s and a recent arrival.

Really cool find, Steve and that unusual bow is the cherry on top.

Playboy for chores and yard work this afternoon.

Says something about your hat collection if you can use a Stetson Playboy for yard work!

Two hats today:

You can start to worry if the bespoke rubber gloves are taken from the drawer;). You look fine to me, Robert: passed!

Works well with the leather jacket, Gary. Bowen @AbbaDatDeHat used to show his toppers in combination with leather coats. That worked a charm as well.

Previously I posted about my medical appointment. Explaining that, it's for insurance purposes. I went on to say that my doctor is so old school, not for him the relaxed casual look. Chances are he will be wearing one of his Savile Row suits.

Well my doctor, Dr. Scott-Fergusson, which in Brit speak is Mr. Scott-Fergusson, he being a surgeon has the title Mr. as opposed to doctor, don't ask, it's all about British class snobbery, wasn't available today, he has finally decided to call it a day and decided to attend to his roses.

Today, my doctor was a young graduate, a lady graduate, so enamoured by my appearance that she asked permission to photograph me to show her husband.

Well there you go, doctor, I do hope that hubby approves.
Well, I suspect that if the lady graduate takes out the rubber gloves it somehow feels different....

Out enjoying some sun wearing a Fifth Avenue private label.

And Steve (I think) - you asked me about a week ago to post a pic of the label in a Borsa I wore. I can’t make out the style name.

I think that's a transitional label. We've seen a few of these, where the colour (in this case Muflone) is on the right hand side of the label and there's no model name anymore. All of these hats have the same model code: 3038P. Likely early seventies.

The image that conjures up. Just drop your trousers Mr. Taylor and bend over that chair!

What a fabulous collection of Homburgs Stefan, the Sools by Laubin looks just like the hat my former surgeon wore. This week's choice must be the:

Lol, it was light yard work, I'm not going to wear that hat if I'm going to sweat a lot. I think it says more about how much I enjoy wearing that hat, it is probably the most comfortable hat I own

I really like your Valensy and GB Borsalino this week. All terrific hats though!
