Did I miss your call when you were in England? Ah well, perhaps next time! Tomorrow the lovely Tina & I will be welcoming 2023 at The Pavilion in the popular coastal town of Bournemouth.Back home in Denmark now after a really nice Christmas break in England.
Decided to wear my recently acquired early to mid 1930s G.B. Borsalino Fu Lazzaro.
Soon be a new hat collecting year. Here's hoping for a good one for one and all!

With our best wishes, Tina & Robert. (The lady is feeling a tad shy, she might let me photograph her partying tomorrow night.)
Close to Cardiff? We will be there, come July. https://www.vintageforvictory.co.uk/Sadly, Robert, my sister lives in Herefordshire, close to the border of Wales, look you now.
Nice, Joe1View attachment 477040
Master Biltmore
Light weight soft lighter brown felt
Approx 4 3/4 Crown as Shaped (about 5 1/2 Open)
Just under 2 3/4 brim with bound edge
3/8 Chocolate brown grosgrain ribbon
Third hat from the Canada stack I chose because I really just want to wear it tonight. The Master Biltmore really only needed a good brushing to get rid of dust and cob webs. What a beautiful color scheme… I’m almost hesitant to describe the felt color as it changes so much in light. A light brown.. maybe pecan color that shifts darker indoors and the ribbon and brim binding a darker brown color. In some light it gives off an almost heathered look. The hat is unlined… though it may have once hat a liner. It is styled in Stratoliner/Open Road fashion. Considering the very soft lighter weight felt I’d lean more toward Strat. I just have not come across many TAR in this color way so I am very happy with this hat!

I'm wearing another of my hat creations this a.m. This one started out as a way too small Resistol Stagecoach in Bark Brown. This is another one that a generous Lounger gave to me. I converted this one and blocked it up two sizes larger. It now sports a 5 3/4 open crown that's creased to my preferred deep Tear drop. The brim is 2 5/8 wide that's been flanged on a #19 brim flange. I also gave the hat a brushed finish. My ribbon and bow work is black at 1 1/2 inches wide...

That's some serious bad luck, Gary. Wish you a speedy recovery!I went to the car wash wearing one of my brown w/black ribbon 50’s Stetsons (I like that color combination on my narrower brims). While there I got out of my Jeep and immediately broke my hip on the ice. Total hip replacement tomorrow morning.
The hat never fell off and I never even thought about it until the ambulance ride where the paramedics were saying they liked it.
Anyway y’all be careful out there if you’re in a colder climate. Ya never know.
