The UK is gripped with a cold snap, the woolen hats pulled down over the ears are abound.
Somehow a woolen hat just doesn't compliment a trench coat the way a Stetson Sovereign does.
No wrong answers there. But I do like the St. Regis. So many great hats posted this month and thank you for all the likes and kind words.
It’s the holiday season and the party scene has begun. While I was waiting for my wife to get ready which is always the case; I was trying to figure out what hat to wear. I deciced Caribou would be the best color, but couldn’t make up my mind on the style. Maybe it was the pre party Cognac causing me to vacillate

Decisions decisions! What hat would you have worn?
Nice hat, but a slightly disappointing post, since it did not include a photo of your lovely bride and her choice for the trip.Staying the night at a Kansai Airport hotel before we fly out to New Zealand tomorrow.

I chose my new Acorn Fawn Akubra Stylemaster for the trip. Keep an eye out for it on the Fedoras Afield thread for the next three weeks or so.

Great find, Steve. It's an eye catching combination of colour, shape, and style.Wegener "Start", possibly late 1920s. The Felt is a Mélange with a Rauh / Rough Finish. The Brim is a Curled Hidden Over Welt which was common in this time period + place. Color coordinated Wide Band with Back Bow. R. & M. Wegener Soft Felts from this time period are rare finds. I found this one back in 2020.

Sorry about that. We were already in our PJs and she wasn’t keen for a picture. I promise to remedy that at some stage today.Nice hat, but a slightly disappointing post, since it did not include a photo of your lovely bride and her choice for the trip.
Thanks Steve.Nice choice of hat.
Have a good trip back home for Christmas, Gary.
That whole outfit is so pimpin I can’t believe itA bright, sunny but freezing cold day in London again, so about to go out in the Akubra Stetson (I had forgotten it was the Aussie made version) again but this time with my' 30s - '40s British motoring coat, top half leather, bottom teddy bear fabric, for those open cars. What a beauty! What size is it?With my 30s 7X CB. Just taking in a sunny day with a Bloody Mary and World Cup semi-final. A wonderful hat. Hand creased, no steam, just fingers.
Note: It had a 3-cell red manufacturing tag (damaged during renovation) and a disappearing lot number.

Indeed it is. My good lady has made a copy, well almost, of the outfit worn by Alison Doody when she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider in the Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade film. It has been put on hold whilst Christmas gifts get priority. Seen here:A superb choice.
Panos, Thank you! Unfortunately I haven't encountered another one but always looking. That's at the top of my list, Steve! It has it all: period, style, finish, color. Super!!
Reggie, Thank you! Great series of hats from you! You wear them with such classic style.Yes indeed, Steve that is a handsome hat!
Steve, Thanks! I have one that is somewhat similar. I will try to remember to wear it tomorrow. The curled brims are hidden over welts which were popular in this time period + place.Great find, Steve. It's an eye catching combination of colour, shape, and style.
I love a back bow, but don't recall ever seeing one on a Homburg before.
