Thank you!Looks great!
Thank you!Looks great!
Early Friday pic of me in my black cherry VS just as it began to snow. Then a beer can left on the deck, before we all turned in. A shot of the view from our living room on the morning.
LOL. Yup! I figured everyone knows the size hahaGreat hat and view Alan! I like the depth gauge for the snow. A beer can (and a WalMart bag) are “official” units of measurement around here. Like “Check out this tree a beaver dropped across our path to the creek” …

Wow!View attachment 382728 View attachment 382729 View attachment 382730 View attachment 382731 View attachment 382732 I spent much of the week cooking for a family thanksgiving at our place upstate. More than a dozen people to feed and one oven (and it’s electric yuck) isn’t a good mix. Lots of good food, booze and fun was had. Wednesday and Thursday were perfect, Friday came the trouble. The forecast “flurries” or a “dusting” pretty quickly turned into 11” of snow, at least up on our mountain. Early Friday pic of me in my black cherry VS just as it began to snow. Also my wife forgot to grab the bread I made from the freezer so I improvised and made two loaves on the grill.
Uh, thanks?Wow!
I mean it does apply to each of the photos….Uh, thanks?

Pretty cool pic, Bob. Beavers not only make great felt, they also make excellent lumbrjacks!Great hat and view Alan! I like the depth gauge for the snow. Warm enough for straw as we headed up creek to check on the Bald Eagles. They weren’t home, but we could see them cruising the neighborhood.

Love the photography.
Hey, am I seeing things or are the vent holes on the crown not symmetrical? Got to love the Derringer.
I think it is. The original Fu Lazzaro is very hard to find. I think Borsalino had two versions of some models on the market, one under the regular Borsalino brand name and one under the Borsalino fu Lazzaro brand name. I think the Savoy is another example of this. I've only seen this liner in their Canadian licensed hats (note the "di" instead of "fu").How very interesting. I figured a 60s revival
They could certainly give Borsalino a run for their money and their variety is mindboggling. Very nice, Steve (even if it is green).Barbisio Qualitá Extra. The third of the three hats I bought from Daniele recently. I fell for this one as soon as I saw Daniele's photos of it. Elegant style, bold colour, wonderful hand to the felt, simple but eye-catching ribbon and bow treatment, and quality finishes.
Barbisio at their best.

I'd say that's a keeper. Lovely hat.View attachment 382549

Great pic, Matt. Outstanding outfits for both of you.Late 20s Hückel 'Prima' for a later walk - and a modern Tonak 'beret' for my better half...
Thanks Panos.
We need to talk to Matt about the scarf and tie, too. Perhaps we should hold a Danish, Norwegian, Dutch, and German conference on hats, coats, scarves, ties, jackets, and suits sometime in the new year
If this is a hat heist in the making: I'm in!Wow, that's a great idea! I think we should make it Italian too, and maybe visit the fantastic rare-hats museum there (while getting some sun): rumours has it there is no guard
Yup, a twenty-five would do that. A beauty, Jim.Y'know those kind of days when you go digging for a hat you haven't worn in a while and come across another one you haven't worn in even longer and then change your mind?
Yeah, this is like that.

That one will bring a smile to your face. Gorgeous hat, David.Thanksgiving brought us to my in-laws in Vermont for our first real taste of winter. Stetson 20 Mode Edge was a pleasure on a walk into town.
Cheers,
David
