I really like that Lee Adventure. What is the brim width? 2.5?

It is indeed a 2.5" brim. This is one of only a couple hats I have that sport a feather in the ribbon. The Lee Adventurer's pop up occasionally for sale on the usual sites. I have a couple and they are excellent hats regardless of their original selling prices. I have a late 50's magazine add were Lee boasts of 40 styles and 60 colors.

Rainy morning had me reaching and wearing an Akubra Campdraft. This bluegrass hued felt is the FL version (2.5" brim).

1950s Dobbs Homburg
Black with Black Cherry Trim
5 3/8 crown with center dent (about 6 open)
2 inch black cherry grosgrain ribbon
2 inch brim to d'orsay with 9/16 binding

Latest arrival 1950s Dobbs Homburg with beautiful black cherry ribbon and binding. The hat arrived in an ample sized box however the seller protectively wrapped the hat in a bag tight enough to leave the brim a bit boxy. Kinda started rounding out over night. The generous crown is about 6 inches open. It does not currently hold any side dents.. in fact it almost seems to prefer open over a center dent. I imagine some steam would allow it to retain various shaping. It arrived in time to accompany my beautiful wife and I yesterday for our 14th anniversary dinner.

Optimo Rex Artist Proof 1. I don't know if Optimo has made any more of these, because the Rex felt is still not on its site. View attachment 373439 View attachment 373440 View attachment 373441 View attachment 373442 View attachment 373443 View attachment 373444 View attachment 373445
Probably the nicest Optimo I've seen.

That's a beauty. Perry.

Excellent Eric. I've been on the lookout for a nice Lee Adventure. May have found one, will know how well I did when it arrives but it looks promising from the pics. Stay tuned. Pristine hats in my size (7-1/4) can get pricey so if I score one under $200 Im a happy camper. ;)
