Way way....way cool!!
Thank you, a stiff breeze changes the crease. An absolutely wonderful hat, and the crease is epic.

Thanks, and another to you for pointing out the sweatband seam detail. I would have missed that for sure.Way way....way cool!!
Totally one of a kind!
Great one Rock!!
I consider many of these rare vintage hats to be works of art. I would no more alter one than I would a 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army or a Picasso.I believe that is the very principle the Lounge was found on.
Unfortunately several valuable members no longer post due to the fashion show mentality.
It's no longer about the preservation of vintage hats; it could be about acquiring anything & probably will be something else in the future.
Thanks!Great color on that one, John.
Wonderful Stetson, Bill. You and your wife take great photos together.First time wearing this Stetson Vita Felt “The Avenue” I bought from Justin aka @splintercellsz.

The felt is within the broad range of taupe, a brownish grey color. The ribbons look to be somewhat faded, the crown ribbon running a brownish burgundy and the brim binding a yellowish or golden champagne or beige hue. That's my kind of hat, Tukwila! What are the colors? Look medium gray with a light purple(?) band on my screen?

That does look great. What is the color combo of the Gannon hat?

Natural beaver felt with vintage ribbon colors of Slate and Belgian. @deadlyhandsome and @Bill Hughes had similar hats made by Michael Gannon.
Bob has a very long wait list, but IMO his work is top drawer. Sandra and I have hats in progress... maybe before Christmas???Gracias, Doug

I am really digging the stars! They are a way cool period custom ad on! I would say likely done at a saddle shop, custom clothing or unusual hat shop....... I have seen period western clothes with such adornments. Those are really well done and too cool for words!Edward Biskup. A very nice thin ribbon with a 5 1/2" OC and 2 5/8" bound brim. Nice, thin, dense felt. I haven't done anything to it beyond a good brushing and modifying the center dent to more of a diamond (or claw foot).

Glad to be of help! Thanks again, Tuk. It must be my monitor, every Gannon I see seems to be gray! The reason I ask is that I'm on Michael's list with a granite body but cannot seem to settle on a ribbon color. On one hand I want a band that blends in (monotone, of sorts), on the other, I want a band that stands out (burgundy or copper perhaps). Thanks for adding to the confusion
Beautiful Biskup Jim, I think I could ignore the stars on that one. But if they disturb you too much, you know where to find me.Edward Biskup.
