Unbranded Ecuadorian Panama while out ‘shroomin’.

Glad to see the frost didn’t ruin the last of blacks, blondes still to come! Maybe the biggest thing I miss from the mitten, can’t think of a better shroom. My parents grabbed a little over 600 in Scottville MI the last few days, and Whole Foods out here has them for a super reasonable $400 a pound... gold mine!

Hooray for the black hat(s), especially if they're as good as that Knapp, Jim. Just to start off the week with an interesting little tidbit: there is actually a country named after the black hat (not necessarily that Knapp one, but still): Karakalpakstan! It's an autonomous republic within Uzbekistan. No, I couldn't point it out on a globe for you.

Thank you, Stefan. This has to be one of my better finds of the past 12 months. It really is an impressive piece of work, and the pics don't do it justice because it sucks up light like I suck up a chocolate malt.

I love trivia like that - how did that ever come up that you found that out? I propose a FL trip there, and we can all wear our black hats.

Out of your last week's, that Battersby turns my head, and the Mossant turns it back!

Thanks, Jim. Stumbled on Karakalpakstan on Youtube. There's a travel vlogger called Daily Bald who travels to the place and mentioned it in his vlog. Here's the link:
Not exactly a cheery place on the shores of what used to be the Aral Sea. There are better places for a FL trip. Like this one:

A guy just pulled up to the museum and gave me a bag of hats for free, they were all low end wool Goorin and Steston crushables except this 6X Open Road was at the bottom of the bag. Needs a little work, but the price was right! View attachment 330175
Now there's something you could get used to: people delivering hats to your doorstep! Very nice, Dave.

Thanks, Joe. It's not in the best shape, even after Fleur had a go at it, bit it's still a great hat for the in-between weather.

Back knocking around in the

Well, that's much more accessible for me than Karakalpakstan. Within a day's driving distance.

And crab cakes Benedict. Yum!
