Absolutely phenomenal velour Steve! I can't recall the last time I saw a brown prewar velour.J. Hückel ´s Söhne "Flexible" "Seal Velour" from Mauerer Wien possibly later 1930s.
Never thought to match a bowler with a leather jacket before but seems right in place with you Steve! The City Hat Bowler saw the light of day this Sunday. It's a very comfortable fitting hat. View attachment 316175 View attachment 316176 View attachment 316177
Can't get enough of that hat Brent! I guess on the plus is the sentimental part of being there on its creation.
Fantastic Joe! I also like the profile pic at the end. Can't wait for the rest!Italian/Borasalino week day 3

Super Borsalino
lousy weather did not cooperate for pictures today. So here’s some file photos. This Super Borsalino originally sold at Sools in Paris. A hat that arrived about a year ago as a real crumpled mess. It was revived somewhat and today made a fantastic rain hat.

Lovely trio Eric !A Knox Westlite for a dog soirée this morning.
Later I completed some clean-up under the bird feeders while wearing a Stetson Clear 7X. Curious I grabbed a pic with a different 7X.
Cheers, Eric -
Great hat, wonderful story, Thanks for sharing Randall !View attachment 316180 1955 Dobbs 2 7/8 Guild Edge in Silverbelly that was given to me by a 74 year old man who I’m building a one car garage for.
Told him I was a collector that refurbished hats and he took me inside and showed me he one that was owned by his Grandpa. He talked about his “Gramp”, the hat and memories and I told him how special the Dobbs was and how much the hat might sell for and other hat facts.
An hour later he came out to the garage and gave it to me! A very nice and gracious man. Wouldn’t let me pay anything for it. Wish it had his initials stamped in the sweatband.
As luck would have it, it’s my size!
My new favorite. View attachment 316182 View attachment 316181 View attachment 316178 View attachment 316179 These last two pics are before and after shots of the liner. I’ve come up with a good way to clean them without removal.
From head to toe, just perfect Michael! An old Royal Deluxe OR this morning

Have a good Sunday,
Michael
Still not sure if I can pull it off.

Thanks, Steve and @Blare !That's a great story, Randall. The gentleman obviously could feel that you'd take good care of his gramp's Dobbs.
Nice clean up job on the liner.
Those 3 hats make you look great—and visa versa. It's been a while, running quite busy lately. A few oldies from previous days.

Fantastic. I’m guessing he’ll be getting an extra row of shelving in that garage!View attachment 316180 1955 Dobbs 2 7/8 Guild Edge in Silverbelly that was given to me by a 74 year old man who I’m building a one car garage for.

Thanks for the compliment. Don’t need any new boots though. I already have a few pair from “Alberta Boot Company” buy local.I’m certain you can, JC. Damn fine crease and brim shaping as well. Really suits the proportions of that hat as do you, or it does you; you know what I mean. You sure that hat is that late?
Now head on over to the Thompson River Boot Co. for a fitting.
That's a nice one! Love those thin ribbons.
