I was going to go with a different blue homburg today, but when I opened the box I thought it was in I found this

So I went with a different Borsalino instead. Torino model

Might have to find a coat before I go on my walk today.

My contribution to Stingy-mas, Stingy brim week. Stingy even by bowler standards, a Resistol Twenty soft bowler at 1 1/4 on the sides and 1 3/4 front and back.

Thanks, gents, for the kind words! I'm glad to be able to share a little bit with you all, as I'm both humbled and inspired by the contributions of fellow Loungers.

@BobHufford, all the credit goes to Mother Nature for the sky and my new phone for the pic. My previous phone was 6+ years old and had been on the fritz for the better part of a year. I finally bit the bullet on a Cyber Monday deal. Though a woolie, this old 4x7 Sears Carlsbad is like a grand prize for making all the ping pong balls.

@bowlerman, it's great to see you posting more regularly again, Jeff. Hopefully you've been able to find an outlet for your music during these difficult times. As for the locks, COVID hair don't care. My wife showed me a pic from last Christmas and I realized it's been over a year now since my last haircut. Hasn't been this long since my days at university when I grew it out twice for Locks of Love:

Let it go, let it grow!

I tried to grow my thin, whispy hair long once. Tragic.
Gave new meaning to the words of David Alan Coe’s Song, “Cause my long hair just cain’t cover up my redneck.”
You sure rock the look—now and in college, Jonathan.

Where does one begin to comment on such a spectacular parade of hats. Always love the jelly donut (Sfinge) hat. Hats all have very interesting tip logos.

Just on the border of stingy Randall, but a really cool old Marathon.

Again with the fantastic parade. My heart can't stand the stress! The ribbon on that Mirtillo is probably my favorite of all time!

Sadly, my pictures from this bygone era have no hats. I think there is a flat cap in there somewhere, back in the early days. You were a lady killer for sure!

Incredible hat as usual Alan. Thank god it survived the crash, some stock broker might have been wearing it when jumping out of the 15th story window!

Super Mayser Steve. The lines are just fantastic. I recognize that store name, I have a Huckel from there.
Thank you, Mike.

A short trip into the outside world this morning. Casual look with a Warren Baines jacket and a 1950s Lee's of London fedora. In stingy solidarity with Joe McCarthy this week. Today was also the debut of my new Florsheim navy blue oxfords. For some strange reason, I still was the only person in Safeway who dressed for the occasion.

Good to see the Lees out and about again. And you've actually got shoes to match it: impressive!
I agree with the others the Sfinge looks fantastic
Thanks, Joe. A hat that makes me look good; I should wear it more often!

The ribbon on the mirtillo is a wow
I'll gladly pass on the compliments to Fleur. Thanks.

On the second day of Stingymas, I opened my Brimvent calendar to find a nice gray work hat. The Hat City Hat Co. of Danbury Conn. produced some very affordable (low end) hats during the late 1950s. Since I'll be puttering around the house today, I thought that this 2" Stingy would be appropriate for the Stingymas season.

Nice choice Mike. Nice to add a lesser know brand to the stingy mix

Very interested, but a little concerned. True story: I had a dream the other night that you were being investigated by the CIA. In the dream, you were the head of a large hat trafficking ring. The CIA came to my house to interview me about my involvement after I purchased that homburg from you a while back. Several loungers were apparently involved. Bizarrely, the homeless guy that I see frequently around these parts was also involved...I think he was keeping an eye on me on your behalf!
OMG! What do they know? Get out of the house. Quick!:D
I'll let the homeless guy know his cover is blown.
