That is one special hat, Alan. Blue and heather; what's not to like?

A fine looking hat, Brent.

Trip to the garden center to look at a Dogwood for the front yard. Good time to plant the trees now, getting them a start for spring. Again, bringing more felts out of their summer vacation for winter wear, my stingy brims surfaced. This Italian Borsalino from the early 1960s in Mirtillo (Blueberry) was begging for some sunshine today.

Good to plant some blueberry felt on the head, Mike. Should get you through the winter just fine.

The quality label is redundant. Like we could not figure that the hat was Excellent! It is an excellent fedora on your hat rack.

Steve; This hat is very unique - tall, swoopy, broad and back bow. It really makes you look. Thanks for sharing sir.

This afternoon we set a record for Oct. 20th by receiving 7.5" of snow. The old record of 3.5" was smashed. I struggled on my commute back to work wearing a cap.

Home this evening doing some light snow clearing. I am saving the heavy snow removal for morning. Wearing a Borsalino this evening.

Cheers this snowy October evening, Eric -
Spectacular Borsalino, Eric. Grand!

It has been a little difficult to comment much lately, but I'm really enjoying everyone's display. Keep it up!
Yesterday I wore my Carlson Homburg, and this morning, I'm going with my Falcon Park lords hat.

Both very nice, Jeff. Love the look of the Carlson though.

Classic, Perry. Can't go wrong with a hat like that.

Nice one, Michael. Great suit as well.

Today, a German hat that arrived last year is on stage

I think I have never worn it or presented it to your eyes (maybe I'm wrong):)

Huber size 59. The felt has the word Mohair.
View attachment 272866
Very nice color that reminds me of some French hats I have in my collection.
View attachment 272492
The felt texture differs, here very firm, while in French hats it is soft

I want to thank you all for the likes given to yesterday's "Thibet" blue and ancient hat;)
Excellent, Daniele. I recall the Huber I've handled as a quality hat. It moved even further north.

Just re-tweet, Stefan :)
Or I could just make up some fake-hats...;)

The chores are done for the day here and it's cool enough I figured it was time to look into the winter lounging gear.

Well, you have me beat for lounging gear for sure, Michael! Can't compete with that.

Non-stop rain for days on end now. Felt like a good day for this old wool JC Penney Merrimac for some errands today. It did manage to dodge the heaviest downpours and didn’t get too wet in our travels though.

That's the wool one, isn't it, Joe? I must say it does look great.

Nice find, Brent.

I’ve been thinking about wearing hats to work. I’m worried about the kids (private primary school teacher) getting all excited and grabby. Anyway, today I demonstrated a “my treasure” show and tell activity I want the kids to do in English. My treasure clearly had to be a hat (it could have been a barbecue, but, you know...logistics!) so I took my vintage Stetson. Wow! What a response - from both the kids and the other teachers. And not too grabby, so I might wear some of my others, too. I’ll save this one for going out, though.

I've come to expect great hats from you, Eric, but this one is "hors catégorie" ! Amazing.

Home for lunch in the new falling snow. I am walking about in a vintage Borsalino. This gilled, unlined fedora is newer to my hat rack and is instantly joins my fav's.

Another round of fantastic U.S. hats, Stefan. Hard to pick a winner, so I'll vote for them all along with the coats and scarves.

Those last two are stand out hats, Stefan! The Churchill looks like great felt and I love a colored liner.
Thanks, Jared. Two completely different beasts but both excellent in their own way. The Churchill is quite "claylike" but has a magnificent hand to the felt. The Stetson is a mixed felt and has an almost lumpy feel to the felt, but is very light (84 grams) and a joy to wear.

‘tis indeed. Thanks Stefan.

Fantastic attire, Michael. There is so much to admire about the quality, colour, and patterns of the headwear and coat. I just hope I find something like those one day.

O wow, Daniele. That is some kind special blue colour!

Very nice, Michael. Wormser made such good looking hats.
Yes, they did. I'm sure this is the finest grey hat i have. Thanks

Nice one, Michael. Great suit as well.
Thanks Stefan. Might be my second favorite suit. Designed in France, tailored in Italy.

That's good, because I definitely can't compete on the hat front. Ha ha.

Dang, that MacLachlan is a monster hat It is hard for it to stand out in that collection. The Hanover Square is so nice. And then the Railbird. Hard to think of another lineup where a 50 would be my least favorite.

Thanks Steve. Commonly available on ebay, though i got this one locally. Search for Ward-Stilson or I.O.O.F. This one was made between 1888 and 1913, but they were probably made identically until the company closed in 1955.

Thanks,
Michael
