Thank you, Stefan.Very nice, Gary. The Habig especially.
WOW! Man, that’s FANTASTIC
That is a fabulous color! What a hat!
Very nice color, with that ribbon it almost looks like black cherry on my screen.
A Borsalino Misto hat: no serious hat collection can do without one. That's a prime example there, Eric.
Another wonderful one, Eric.
Epic!
Somebody had Black Sheep Hat Works put a soft brim, nice leather sweat band, and ribbon on a fine old Dobbs Mylan, then mailed it to me. Nice Guy!

I’m standing in front of a 1952 Henry J. Corsair. This is the last car my father-in-law restored before he died several years ago. Until I married into the family I had never heard of the Kaiser-Frazer Automobile Company.

He had a dozzen or so vintage cars, but they were all Kaiser-Frazers and didn’t sell for as much as I had hoped for his wife. They were the “Champ” brand of cars looking to undercut the big players. My father-in-law worked at his father’s Kaiser-Frazer car dealership after The War. These cars were a big part of his life but none of his children wanted or had room for them...kind of like my hats when I’m gone.
You can see in the last two pics that the felt does not come down to the end of the block. I left about 3/8" of bare block to fit into the hole of the 3/8" plywood. The next step is to iron the brim flat. This brim I will cut to 2 7/8" width and flange on a vintage flange to make my version of an Indy fedora (no dimensional brim though). I like using this device to trim the brim as the block sits solid in the hole and the block stays more stationary while the brim is being cut. I have better success using this method. I have to recut this flat flange on a better piece of ply. This is for a 61cm block and I cut it as an experiment.
Hey all, took my lucky Polish made cap for a bike ride this morning.

Thanks Dave. The cap has a full label in it of materials and price, but it has no maker's name on it. It sole for 58 of whatever currency it sold in. Ha ha.Looking good Michael. I love the cap, who it the maker?
Thanks Alan. I kind of got out of the photo taking habit when my selfie arm was out of commission. That and the fact that it was too hot to wear anything but shorts and a ventilated cap.Good luck indeed, and good to see you Michael. Been thinking about you. Enjoy!
Thanks Stefan. I could see how with that fine hat collection of yours you wouldn't know what a lowly wool cap is. Ha ha.Good to see you around again, Michael. That's quite the find (like I know what I'm looking at).
The rain didn't stop you, Johnny. That is a great colour; very versatile.
All great American hats. Loving the Adam particularly. We're not finished with the American hats (not by a long shot). Let's continue.

Yes, it is. Being retired daylight isn't in short supply for me. Too bad they don't glow in the dark like Jack-o-Lanterns. I found a couple of smaller ones yesterday, too. And a small chicken of the woods.Holy cow that's a huge hen!
So far my main hen spots havent produced yet this year. I just used up the last frozen hens from last year so I gotta find some soon. Always batteling daylight this time of year. There ain't much after work. Found a nice bunch of elm caps tonight but that's about it.

Unknown maker for the morning. Wind will be blowing it off of my head in a few minutes as it's supposed to gust above 40 mph today.

No reason to feel silly, sit back and enjoy the lounge. You are among friends. Just be careful, this site can cause unexpected strain on your bank account if you're not careful LOLI like blue and I like the colors in this fun hat. Feel a little silly posting a hat like this with all these manly hats and dapper dudes.
