I will opine about it some time in the future in the OR thread! I have a few things of interest to post there..... And the felt and ribbon color are a good match to the first photo of the whole hat......(at least on my screen).

I recently purchased a beautiful homburg from steur which took a while to get through the shipping logjams.
It's a wonderful hat (thanks again!) but my wife says that it makes me look suspicious.

Korean War era Knox Premier Quality baku straw. A very light and airy hat weighing in at 1.9 ounces. Baku straw was sourced from the Philippines.

Gorgeous! I love that ribbon.

This is the everyday hat I reach for in summer... light, comfortable, durable - a parabuntal straw that has been treated in some way to be weather resistant. 1950s I would guess.

Saturday hats continue in Bartholomew Cubbin's style.

Champ panama and a Stetson Buccaneer.

Our local birds have been very active this afternoon. A "Hand Woven South American Genuine Panama" was my hat choice for some bird watching from the deck sipping iced sun tea.

Going out to water the yard plants and garden. A Stetson Buccaneer is my hat choice.

Hückel Weilheim "Chevreau", NOS condition, mid 1950s. The felt color and finish are fantastic. Also great overall construction and detail work. I found this hat back in 2011.

Came with original display size and price tag.

So many wow factors in that fine fedora, Steve. I like the dark caramel color of the sweatbands in that brand of hats that you keep sharing. Plus many other features.

Jeez, that Buccaneer is a beaut! If I had to pick only one of my hats to live with for the rest of my life...it’d be one of yours...and this’n might be it.
