This week I will feature P. & C. Habig Wien & Berlin Hats. The hats will be from the 1920s up to the 1950s.

P. & C. Habig Wien Berlin Kreissäge (Boater), probably mid 1920s. This hat was made specially for the P. & C. Habig Berlin store at Friedrichstrasse 82a which didn't survive WWII. The beautiful Straw Weave glows gold in sunlight and is flexible plus light weight. As you can see from the photos it's in mint condition.

You are looking cool and sharp this morning.

Excellent! Your attire and hats have been consistently killing it.

Looking sharp!

Thanks for sharing this special hat and the hats over the past week. They are really enjoyable to see. I am impressed by your knowledge as well as your coordinated attire. Cheers.

I have been looking for a yellow hat, but don't really like this one I wore today. Too stiff! View attachment 238060

Safety first! Well done. Thanks for letting us share your everyday.

View attachment 238061 View attachment 238062 View attachment 238063 View attachment 238064 View attachment 238065 Greetings All:
Today....full disclosure or maybe a confession. By definition, i’m jaded with hats. I do love hats and i really love nice hats. Mine or your’s makes little difference, i appreciate, even relish seeing a good hat. They do not have to be top dollar pieces or coveted grail birds but that helps.
I blessed myself with an excess of hats that exceeded my ability to do them justice, meaning realistically being able to wear them much less share them here. I find myself grabbing the same dozen or so hats day after day, all day, every day with little regard to many coveted ones in view. I guess i do not possess the necessary collector’s endurance and have evolved into hoarder. I’m on the lounge constantly since day one and truly enjoy every hat i see and especially the stories etc that some share with their prizes. Thank you each and every one for that.
I am not trying to be pretentious, please forgive me if it seems so.
I guess i felt the need to say this as i don’t contribute as often and wonder if other’s haven’t been of the same mind.
Anyway....today i’m sharing a skinny ribbon, raw edge, 50’s Stetson One Hundred with the little hundred guy pin that came in a case just as nice.
Perfect in every way except not worn enough.
Ok...back in my cave.
Be well and safe.
Bowen

Share away! I truly enjoy seeing your hats and the adventures they take. BTW: What a cool Stetson 100. Excellent.

I have some "Unkown hats." Excellent brand! Thanks for sharing Brent.

Day 27 of 31 Hat Parade: Every sharp dressed man requires a top hat for formal occasions. I still need a 1930s vintage tux, but that is just a dream bucket list item in my larger size, guys were just smaller then I guess. This classic Opera Hat came during my pain days of 2019 after my back surgery. My friend in Holland, Stefan Steur found it at at thrift store or online. Made for one of the larger department store chains of the era, Peek en Cloppenburg, the logo in the liner reflects this. The actual maker is a mystery, but probably one of the major German or Austrian manufacturers. The style of logo does have some age to it, a friend on the Fedora Lounge thinks it is the early style of the store logo. My best guess would be mid 1950s or older. A little class in my lock down life, and memories of dressing up and seeing other people in the real world.

Red, your hat rack is chuck full of hats with stories and history. It is enjoyable to learn more about through your posts. Thanks.

Stormy weather this afternoon under my Dobbs Rancher Panama. The brim has such a flange it will never snap down. A great lightweight work hat.

A Stagecoach like Jaoa's (our Portugal forum member) felt big brimmed hats! Excellent shade from that brim.

The past few days have we have seen quite a bit of downpours. A least a couple feet of water all tolled...I am sure. It was sorely needed so no complaints. What little chance I had to get out and about I found myself reaching for this Stevens 3X Beaver California weight. Really enjoying this hat. Fit.. shape.. styling... ability to hold a sharp crease. And very very cool and unique silver mid ribbon

thanks Eric. I've been wondering how Jaoa is doing. This hat is definitely in a proportion he should be happy with.

Thanks,

Nice looking hat, Randy. Makes me wonder if it was intended with that deep flange.

Not an everyday style, but the weave is airy and decorative.

That is some fine looking felt in that one, Stefan. Not sure I remember having heard of that brand before.

Thank you, Michael. Luckenwalde had several hat manufacturers back in the day. Steco was one of them, but you don't see them often.

I am glad that's one of your hats that's too small for me, Joe. The envy would be troubling me if it were my size! Lovely hat!

Home and enjoying the last of the evening light. Wearing a Stetson Medalist Panama. This hat has seen lots of head time at my house and it keeps a-going.

For those following my recent pic collages, the iris's have finally started blooming. They are lovely. Short blooming time so I need to pay attention.

Now there's something to see, Steve. Splendid. I have yet to find one in any sort of wearable size and condition.

First day back to work in 10 weeks. Peters Brothers Indie hemp was the hat selected for the occasion.
