Went with my son to murder a few bream and some things never grow old, this is my son wearing his Akubra Angler that he has worn mercilessly for 4 years and me in a 50yo Akubra Silver Spur (near as I can judge). Wearing a grey Resistol Stagecoach that I converted last year. It was originally a 6 7/8 that I blocked up to a 7 1/4.

Before:

On the block:

Brim trimmed to 2 5/8 inches with my handy dandy rounding jack by Rick Walker, (humanshoes), and with my equally handy dandy band block by another fellow Lounger, "Rockwater"...

Completed:

Tall straight crown:

Good enough for dressing up:

Yes. Definitely. It's been completely made over. If I could have maintained its original 4 inch brim width I probably would have kept it Western but going up three sizes and totally changing the block profile made that impossible. But, to be honest, I like it better as a fedora!

#8 is a 40s Stylepark Templeform with a typical bow treatment I installed using vintage Petersham ribbon. Also, hand sewn brim stitching akin to a Playboy.
This one remains in the top three of my favs. The color is a cool blue/gray.

Thanks Bowen. Fortunately my practice deals with Occupational Health, so no obvious sick coming through (we're screening). We're trying to take all precautions. Where I practice is a smaller town with a fair amount of manufacturing but rural too, so not huge amount of cases. Keeping our fingers crossed.

I did 43 yrs as a Staff Respiratory Therapist, fought more bugs and virons everyday and thought many to be scary. I made it out without much damage. I’ve never been scared no matter the unknown illness before but this one, this one gets my attention.

Indeed. The real heroes are the ones (docs, nurses, respiratory, heck everyone down to the cleaning staff) working in hospitals these days.
