Today.....Due to programing in another thread and a touch of serendipity and melancholy, this one.
Old Faithful, 30 yr old Cabellas.
Be well. Bowen
Thanks Stefan. It's a Lobbia Borsalino Sider in Daniele's words and he refered to the colour as "buio". The latter I understand as "dark", but I wouldn't call it a dark grey.

From what I remember about the hat the colour is called Sider and the ribbon would be Buio, which seems more logical. As usual, great hats Stefan! When you catch up, you catch up in style.

Now there's something I would love to see!But if you don't get them spayed, you might have a bunch of little stingies running around that you have to try to give away on Craigslist!
And thanks!
Thanks Doug. Some things need said no matter where or when. Thank you, i stand with you!I am, at once, saddened, sickened and enraged at the ignorant, senseless brutality this morning at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. I don't think we step into the political realm by offering prayers and good thoughts for those suffering at the hands of evil.
I was out grocery shopping when the news came on the radio. Sad, sad day.
I feel petty and small for even posting a hat at this time. A Charles Knox 40 stingy brim beater from the 60's. Pics taken before I heard the news.
.
As someone with Jewish blood in their veins, I couldn't agree with you more, Tukwila. The world can be a sickening place. But let's remember the beauty, too. Humanity has always looked to the light. In the deepest, darkest days of war and even during the Shoah, people remembered and celebrated the beauty of art and culture. On this forum, we celebrate and share our love of the history, culture, and beauty of hats with one another in fellowship with each other. Let us forever mourn the darkness by remembering to share the light.I am, at once, saddened, sickened and enraged at the ignorant, senseless brutality this morning at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. . Yes, it is not a sin, even if some saw the origin of the mirtilliMirtillo eh, so you're just picking blueberries: how can that be a sin?
A perfect trio Stefan!Catching up some. Two hat day yesterday.
Percy Jones homburg (takes the rain well).
Penny's Marathon was next
Today was for the Borsalino nutria condor
I think you're absolutely right, Stefan. It makes much more sense. But what does "Sider" mean. From what I remember about the hat the colour is called Sider and the ribbon would be Buio, which seems more logical.
Thanks for the likes!
That is one fine looking Homburg, Steve. Looks like the rest of the outfit isn't too shabby either.
Michael
I'm afraid that may well be lost in the arcane science of Borsalino colour and model naming!I think you're absolutely right, Stefan. It makes much more sense. But what does "Sider" mean.

Thanks, Daniele! Keep your eyes peeled: something interesting coming up in the Borsalino thread shortly.. Yes, it is not a sin, even if some saw the origin of the mirtilli
A perfect trio Stefan!
That's a keeper, Bill. Congrats on the occasion. This is the first vintage fedora I ever bought and it’s stll hands down my favorite. Love the colors on this Crofut & Knapp. I try to pull this out on special occasions. Today’s special event is a wedding for a little girl who has always called us uncle Bill and aunt Carla. No relation in blood but always will be part of the immediate family.

Got home from my ride and found an email about overdue dvds at the library. So a different Stetson took the second trip of the day with me

Valliant efforts all today, gentlemen. My vote for this selection must go to the homburg, but I am biased that way.Taking the pooch for a drizzly stroll.
