Nicely done!

Another beautiful day here, so I was sitting on the patio listening to music and finishing up my ribbon replacement on the Vintage Whippet. Another one with stains that I had to cover up with a 2” ribbon. Had to use Petersham, as that’s all I could find in that width with the color I wanted. Think it turned out pretty good though. I tried to copy a bow I liked that @alanfgag posted on the bows take a bow thread:

Panos, thanks. It's in good condition for its age. Aren't we all .
I didn't show all this Dobbs' petinas. Bob did when selling it. Bob called it a beater. For me, it was better than a beater. As Randy mentioned a couple of weeks back, they're often one of your favourites.
The sweat band was loose, as Bob mentioned and posted photos of. After wearing it today, it completely fell off.
No worries. This is now a part of this almost 80 year olds patinas. Luckily too, it can be fixed. View attachment 210491

Thanks, Héctor. Yes, second warmest winter on record. I've only had to shovel the driveway once this winter. Not warm enough for straws by any means but it's been pleasantly mild.

Sun came out so sitting out on the patio watching the migrant birds and listening to music in the fairly new to me Dunlap Fifteen. I still can’t figure out what color it is, bit Man, I love this hat. Wonderful moldable clay like felt. I think it might be the Moss Green some people have posted, but it looks different in every light. Tried to get a picture in the Sun, but too much shade around the house with all the trees:

Easy choice today. I also have a 40’s Nutria Quality from the Olsen-Nolte Saddle Shop in San Francisco which will not be shown, today.

Especially for Panos , here's the third hat from our friend in Missouri. A 1940s Dobbs Homburg.
It's seen better days, but its blemishes just add to its character. In the antiques furniture trade they'd call it patina.

Didn’t want to get grease on the Whippet, so Cooking out for the big game wearing a nice beater Windsor that Stefan @steur so kindly threw in with my recent Borsalino. Perfect for yard work, unlined and very comfortable, and cool ribbon. Just a few moth bites here and there.
