It's messy as heck to make, and we are having 12 to 14 people over. So I made it a day early and will fry it tomorrow. There was dough everywhere when I finished. Two days to make spaetzle?

I asked him to sell me one, and he said he wasn't ready yet. Old Mexican saying: "When someone wants to buy from you, sell!,You need to put those conversions into production. I’d buy one. They just look so good, T!

I thought of that one, too. I just don't know how I'd hide the money from the wife before she found out about it.Sell a hat....buy a tool, repeat.

It was a picture of my grandfather wearing a fedora that got me started, much to my wife's dismay.

Fantabulous. That Huckel is special.Out to the post office this morning to pick up my Care Package from Holland, more images later. Wearing the Hückel Special which can also be attributed to Tonak according to Steve. Why, because a special gift from @Frunobulax arrived yesterday. Some wonderful Tonak pins. Very detailed little Tonak logo on 3 different colored pins. Love these a lot, now on to finding some more Tonak felt! Thanks Jim! You are one helluva guy!

Great job, Terry. Very good take on the Whippet.Did a little more work to my Stagecoach Longhair conversion and added a brim binding. I've always wanted a Stetson Whippet but could never afford to buy one when they came up for bid on ebay, so I made my own version of one. I have more in the Conversion Corral...

No Jaeger, but schwarzwälder kirschtorte (black forest cherry cake)Man that sounds good.... jaeger schnitzel, too?
Resistol 3x beaver for this cloudy Friday. My only vintage hat, still amazed at how good the sweat is, combined with the soft yet dense felt.
Thank you, Michael. My very first fedora was a lighter grey colored Whippet with a black hat band that my Grandfather gave to me back in 1973 when I was a senior in High school. I can still remember how soft and smooth the felt was. It's long gone now. Anyway, I'd like to get a grey colored Resistol and make another Whippet style conversion like the one I had years ago.Great look, as usual, D.

Great job, Terry. Very good take on the Whippet.

Like them all but that ribbon on the Panama is fantastic!Took some quick pictures of the new haul arriving today. Stefan outdid himself on this one. The details will be added to the appropriate threads later. He also tossed a couple of his macabre liners, have to get pictures to show.
Mayser Panama, I'll have a chance to wear this one next week some.

Barbisio in a wonderful finish. So soft and supple. Kind of a taper to the crown.

Gray Bowler from Dunn & Co. Probably modern (maybe 1970s?) Great lines and brim curl. Needs a stretch.
