I'm really liking the heathers you have been featuring lately, Danielle.

Mottled Thunderstorm? I think I saw them open up for Pink Floyd back in the 1970s.
Thanks Fruno. I like a lot the "heather and furry" felts
French hats producers had a special "poetic license" for the names of colors felts
For the "Mottled Thunderstorm" I can't help you  I have seen many bands in the seventies, at least those that arrived here, on the borders of the rock empire, but those guys are still lost in the Atlantic Ocean

A Leica fedora.. interesting. How’s the glass? Just kidding. (Camera joke). Was that a German brand?

Best,
Joe

It's sharp as a tack, that for sure! Been wondering about the possible connection myself ever since I got it. Can't find anything on it unfortunately. The camera brand has been around since the 1869, so it must have been known to the hatmakers. There's no label inside the hat.

Thanks for the kind words Steve. I never attempted to work on my hats or any hats until I joined the Lounge. I usually have someone else do it for me, but the Lounge offers lots of motivation to take on new things.[emoji106]

116 years ago today, two preacher's boys from Funkytown proved that man could fly.

So naturally, a Stratoliner.

Okay, Michael, where do I start? Love the hat, naturally. Super jacket, love that scarlet colour. Nice choice of contrasting/complimentary t-shirt. Love the puff on the pocket kerchief. Once again, my [emoji145]is off to you, sir.

An older hat, pre-1920 and perhaps early 20th century. Old 13 Star mark that I've seen in print but don't remember seeing in another hat. Fray logo sideways, lovely silver foil store imprint, off-center reed ferule and older style scalloped size sticker are all markers of age. I've owned a couple of Stetsons from this era. The felt, likely hare, is notable for its character - thin, dense and moldable in the manner we've come to love in a post-war clear beaver quality hat but here in a hat of modest price. The Stetson standard was good stuff.

Yes definitely sharp! I imagine if you came across a Leica camera guy... who is also a hat guy it might be priceless. Hmm. Alan? [emoji846]
