That is one beautiful Heather Mallory, Alan. Love the overal shape, crown size, ribbon and bow contrast. Wonderful looking coat and scarf too, sir [emoji145]Heather Mallory, c.1940.
Thanks, Randall. I've been told it's probably forties. It looks black in the shot, but it's actually a charcoal grey mixed felt (which is even better). The Brim is 7cm.

Max, Thank you for posting photos of this hat in action. It's very special old Wien Mode Hut (Vienna Fashion Hat) in deed. It wears great too.Carl Cheskas Sohne Wien today.
No wonder people like old European felts.
Wonderful!

Lovely hat and the ribbon is one of my favorite styles."Bellona" Back Bow possibly late 1920s. No company mark but definitely a German made Wool Soft Felt Hat. I have (Stefan has a couple too) a few Wool Soft Felt Hats from this source (similar paper labels) but can't figure out the company that made them.
I enjoy train rides. Was that a train ride Steve?[emoji106]Thank you, Héctor.

Wow, the coat and the hat are splendid, Alan.
My hats made it back after sitting on my hatter's bench a good year. Happy days. Reason to start wearing them one by one.

Another killer hat, Alan. Heathers were not something Mallory did often, I'm guessing. Never seen one before.

What I find most exceptional is the sweatband. It is very thin, almost paperlike, yet it hasn't ripped anywhere. I don't have another like it.Max, Thank you for posting photos of this hat in action. It's very special old Wien Mode Hut (Vienna Fashion Hat) in deed. It wears great too.
Love that one, Steve. Great wide brim and back bow. It would be wonderful if we could find the maker."Bellona" Back Bow possibly late 1920s. What are the odds of that happening? Thanks Perry... it's always special when you have an odd color hat and just the right odd color coat to match it up with.
It was Héctor, but just a short one between Elsinore, where I live, to Copenhagen where I used to live.I enjoy train rides. Was that a train ride Steve?[emoji106]

I'd say special all the way round, Alan [emoji145]Thanks Perry... it's always special when you have an odd color hat and just the right odd color coat to match it up with.
Thanks, Randy. I traded it with Richard Morgan, whom we haven't seen for quite a while around here. It is a small size, but I managed to nudge it towards fitting me.A nice Game Bird with a wide brim. I have not seen many of those myself.
The mystery remains for now, Steve. But that is a commanding hat. Wonderful."Bellona" Back Bow possibly late 1920s. No company mark but definitely a German made Wool Soft Felt Hat. Thank you, Alan. Always nice to find one of these survivor woolfelt hats.Lord, love a hat. Wonderful.
