Mi mamá era de Wisconsin, y siempre cocinaba para thanksgiving, pero como crecí en México, para mí significa una cena rica y nada más. Mi familia es muy unida de todas formas, y nos vemos muy seguido.[emoji4]

I sure like pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes and gravy and stuffing. I don't get to eat them often enough. I miss them, Chicago Italian beef sandwiches, and Gino's East pizza, the best in the universe.

Today's family vacation was a day for visiting and games. I'm not much of a game player so I just hover. Temperatures in northern Washington were 16 degrees over night and a high of 32. Perfect weather for my Borsalino "Angora" from the early 1950s. The color is misto grigio, love how this Italian maker names the color of their hats. This hat was sold in Chicago and has the O.P.S. price controls tag of which places it between 1950 and 1953. In all it's floppy glory, perfect hat for the temps. It is still as awesome as it always was. While I have my Borsalino Gorasgu basic needs covered by now, one like this is still high on the list!

Thanks Michael. In my prior life I used to travel all over the world and was able to pick up some nice pocket watches in obscure shops[emoji275] This one I picked up at the Gold Souk in Dubai about 15 years ago.

Early morning was cool and windy. A "furry" Disney fedora kept my head toasty. The air is damp and heavy. They are signals of an impending snow event.

As predicted the snow pellets started mid-morning. I was out doing some snow-blowing in a Gannon fedora (steel with charcoal trimmings). More drizzle/sleet/snow to come in the next 24 hours. I spoke to relatives near Duluth, Minnesota this morning and they are expecting 24 inches of new snow, blizzard warnings and up to 10 foot waves off Lake Superior. Only 150 miles away and a world away in weather.

I am inside warming my hands and preparing for more outside adventure today.
