It looks like you did a great job! That brim suits you.I did it. I just trimmed off the binding and it measures right at 2.5". I just can't leave good enough alone!

Beautiful shape and flow to that Borsalino, B. The perfect leather jacket to wear with it, too.View attachment 188194 View attachment 188195 View attachment 188196 View attachment 188197 View attachment 188198 Greetings All:
Today....it seems not so many Borsalinos have been around lately.
So...here is a lovely example of fine Italian craftsmanship. The felt is very thin, dense and airy light that conforms to whatever your imagination is, as is only Borsalino. Finely finished detail, their hallmark, does not disappoint.
Be well. Bowen
I do understand the sentiment, H&R. These things can be a drag. My wide decided today that enough is enough and we need to clear out a ton of clutter (including hats!). She has been very understanding, but she is also right of course. I decided not to tell her yet about the ones that are still coming in...I've let a lot of things go around the homestead for a while, Stefan. My storage spaces got quite out of control. If it was one, it would not be a big deal. It was all of them. Getting things in order is requiring that I drag everything out of everywhere, and it's been a bit stressful.
Thank you though for the encouragement to smile and take time for a bit of joy. It helps.

The new ribbon (it was that one, right?) is an improvement, Brent. Very nice.D’Aquino w/refurb by VS:

Two beautiful ones today, Jonathan, even though I convince my brain that that Dobbs is not green at allI have Swedish roots on my maternal side, so I don't think your Scandinavian theory holds up. It's definitely the Midwest winters. Toughens you up, builds character.
I'm also prepared for future beard and bowler (derby) coordination:

I'm too white to be Huggy Bear, though I do have that furry Dobbs:

Pretty sure I still have some turtlenecks packed away in storage. Now I just need @Garrett's pimp chain to complete the look. Hmm...maybe I'll hit up the pawn shops this week.
Plan B would be to get a Gran Torino.
Thanks, Stefan. I almost grabbed the Gorasgu but had to spread the love to the B-17.
Wow, Eric, that has taken hat wearing to a whole new level! Is there anything above black belt?Great parade of hats. Glad to see some faces and hats reappearing as the weather changes.
Early morning sun hat - Stetson Playboy.
Errands in a Stetson Playboy.
Yard choes in a wool cap.
Grilling food in a cap.
Watching the sun wain as the afternoon leaves my neighborhood. Wearing a Gannon fedora.
Best, Eric-
Good to see you, Reggie! That Cavanagh does deserve better, be honest!Good evening everyone. While I was boxing up the straws and surveying the felts for autumn service; I came across this old hat tucked away in the corner of the attic. I have had it for awhile, but have never worn it until today.

Fleeting maybe, Jeff, but in that light that hat is golden!I wore my Stetson twenty five OR today. Here are some shots in the pleasant but all too fleeting autumn morning light.

I can't hope to beat that, Fabio. I'll keep trying though.
I always enjoy seeing that Champ, Michael. I sometimes have trouble finding mushrooms in a supermarket, let alone in a forest!Champ Genuine Suede Finish on a lovely cool morning.

Sadly, the big hen was found by my landlord and the boletes that I found may be of the bitter type.

Have a good Monday,

We don't get to see it that often, Jim, but when we do it's always a treat.A nice cool, overcast morning after some much needed showers overnight. Monday seemed to be a good day for the Royal Deluxe dual tone.

Don't look at me! But I can only applaud the support for my favourite brand. And not with the least of their hats I might add (and I will). Wonderful, Bowen.View attachment 188194 View attachment 188195 View attachment 188196 View attachment 188197 View attachment 188198 Greetings All:

At some point, this was probably somebody's everyday hat. Something to think about! We don't get to see it that often, Jim, but when we do it's always a treat.
Martora... didn't Godzilla fight him in a movie? Two hat day.

I'll support Bowen's plea for more Borsalinos.
