Interesting hat. I’d love to hear the story behind that one.BSHW Golden Fleece. Geddit? Black Sheep-Golden Fleece? Hahaha? [emoji4]

That sounds like a great afternoon, Doug. Your dual selfie made me smile. It reminded me of How Vicki and I look leaning in to FaceTime with the kids and grandkids.View attachment 187924 Another visit to my chiropractor, then lunch and a movie. The Good Boys is actually kind of funny. I wore my Cordova cap for a cool morning and a cool-ish, sunny fall day.
Then stopped by an antique store and saw some hats...
As I age, gentlemen, I find that I deal better with extreme cold than extreme heat. One can always put more on, but there are limits to how much one can take off. Thanks, Jim. I'm a warm weather man. Prefer heat to cold [emoji4]

Today....a very favorite of mine.
I took a chance on bad pics, bad description and a low price and was rewarded with a Stetson Vita-Felt Stratoliner. It happens.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: thank you all kindly for recent likes and comments i do appreciate them always.
I thought of that Stephen King character I mentioned.in another thread.Awesome hat, but you better call Max to see if he can help with your teeth.
Excellent, J.With all the 7X’s floating around I decided to don my 60’s example for a nice fall day.
Beautiful dry creased clay like crown with a brim so stiff it could slice bread.

That's a very interesting hat, Bill.Still in the upper 90s here in north Texas. Supposed to cool down Monday. But for now I’m sticking with straw. Vintage Lowey & Co leghorn straw for work tonight.

I think there is some sort of mushroom foray this afternoon. May have to rethink my hat choice for that.

Impeccable Mallory Derby. Sorry to hear about the pins.Today's black hat for the theater will be a 1930s Mallory Derby. This one doesn't see enough head time. It just screams wear me everyday. Nice thin brim with a tight curl makes the lines of this stiff felt shine. This matinee will complete the second marathon weekend of Mama Mia. Thursday through Sunday performances, really takes a lot out of me, but I have to remember my actors are working much harder than I. The pins in my hand have an infection going on, which is kind of gross. The Doctor gave me some heavy duty antibiotics which seem to be working. The will yank out the pins on Oct 15th. Literally, YANK them out, not exactly looking forward to this (I'm such a baby...) Looking forward to a couple of days rest before closing weekend coming.
I've let a lot of things go around the homestead for a while, Stefan. My storage spaces got quite out of control. If it was one, it would not be a big deal. It was all of them. Getting things in order is requiring that I drag everything out of everywhere, and it's been a bit stressful.Very nice looking hat, H&R. Should make you look happier than the pics show...
You make me smile, Danieli.Cloudy Sunday in Verona

S.C.M. Qualità Superiore pesco, color blue, size 59 or 7 3/8 US said the paper label

I have other hats marked "Superiore" in gold on a white lining, one comes from the Borsalino boutique in the center of Milan, this from a small town on the plain, but I really don't know the maker.
View attachment 188045
I believe it was made in Monza, north of Milan for many details. The felt is very beautiful: soft and with a peachy touch as specified in the quality. "Lepre Garantita" (guaranteed hare) is printed clearly on the sweatband

The lunch was dedicated to a autumn specialty: "tortelli di zucca" (pumpkin ravioli) with Chianti, we betrayed the Veronese wines
Have a nice Sunday. Thanks a lot for likes on the Penumbra work!

Just received my Coyote Brown Fedora with a copper toned ribbon from Art Fawcett. I love it! Art you out did yourself. Just in time for the fall foliage.
Excellent, J.
Do you hear lions growl when you're in there with the door closed?
Thanks all for the nice comments on the V-Strat.When did this occur?
Absolutely great score.

Easy to make a bowler look good when one has a beard of the same color. I envy you the beard more than the hat, though. My mother's brothers were of Scandinavian descent, but couldn't grow a beard either. I thought Vikings were supposed to have abundant beards, but not my ancestors. [emoji35]
I'm too white to be Huggy Bear, though I do have that furry Dobbs:It was a wise nod to the B-17, Jonathan. Didn't that jacket used to be in Starsky and Hutch [emoji6]? Love it.
Very cool, Jonathan. Goes well with the coat.
