flying to Vancouver B.C. for a few days then catch a 7 day cruise along the west coast, we jump ship in LA and fly home. Anyone know a good hat shop in Vancouver?

Bashed my first hat today, this Akubra Fed IV in carbon gray. Went for a pinched telescope. The felt isn't as nice as my vintage lids, but being my first attempt to tame an open crown, I'm happy with how it turned out and will wear it proudly.

Today's outfit:
a 1930s black Stetson I got off the legend: Alan. I found a few beautiful black feathers when I was out West a month ago because I knew I could stick them in my hats beautifully and I was right!

Side note: I saw some Magpie birds, I looked far and wide for some of those feathers on the ground but no luck they have some beautiful feathers. If any of you ever see any..

I've had this fairly modern Mayser for a couple of years now, but don't think I've ever posted it. On the way out of the door earlier this evening, I just grabbed it and put it on. These are after pictures.
Works both brim down or up.

Mugnai creation reworked by Fleur of Penumbra hats.

The has has travelled with me, yesterday at the dusk and today an hour after the dawn

During the night the cold of October arrived with the temperature having dropped by about 8 Celsius

The harvest is in progress and yesterday the air was full of gnats which are the sign that the grapes are ripe

In a few days we will smell the aroma of grape must in the air and it will definitely be autumn

Cheap thrift find. Old sahara color Wormser. Soft felt, brushed up nicely but when steamed it released some strong cologne smells. Phew.... this could be a gem with a professional cleaning, new ribbon, and reshaping. Not yet ready for primetime. With Art retiring who else is doing refurbs? Mike @ NW hats?

Thanks! It is the harvest time and the month of wine. Here there are many wineries and many tractors with trailers full of grapes on the roads
