That Wanderer clone looks great, Eric. And yes, now that I have a Gannon, they appear to be workhorse hats. Very sturdily constructed. Your silvermist is a good lookin' hat. Happy Saturday, all!

Thanks sir. The beaver felts are great in that their colors are vibrant, felt is very dense, rich in appearance and IMO they are very durable/wearable. All of my hats must be wearable hats. If they are not comfy or wearable, they go off to other households. I wear my hats during everyday things, almost all weather, errands and chores. They hit the ground, brush up against things and after a brushing they are good to go. The silver mist beaver felt is special. (This hat is using the "older" silver mist with the more trad color and felt.) The color is eye catching for me. The light weight and finely pounced felt make it a fav. My challenge with this hat is keeping the side dents and a crease that stays put. The height is 6" and I have been working to reduce the height with an appropriate crease. Often I wear the hat a few hours and look in the mirror and the creases have worked their way out - giving the hat a reverse taper look. I know many enjoy that-me nt so much. At my small height the reverse taper, IMO, gives me the vision of Mugsy's hat (of Bugs Bunny and Road Runny Hr. fame). I intend to whoop the felt with BIG doses of steam this weekend.

Warming up and I have to put felt away. Errands mid-day find me donning a Cubaverra and a vtg.Stetson panama. Love the interior detail of this hat.
