Good prevernal morning fellows. Out working with a chainsaw clearing fallen limbs. Chain lube, fuel, Akubra CD, ear protectors and clear eye glasses have been my accoutrements.
Jay; The Camp Draft hat has become a go to hat for weather and hard work situations. Sharp, but has been a very sturdy fedora for me. I had read into the many posts on the hat as it being stiff and thicker felt to make it more sturdy. This is not the case with my hat. It has softened up with wear and use. At the present it is more pliable than a new of the shelf Stetson fedora at local stores. The rain, snow it has seen has not even left a mark. I am VERY pleased. Of course nothing beats an Art Fawcett VS beaver for fit, style and luxury. I will pick up other colors when the next Fedora Forum smaller brimmed Akubra CD offer comes around. As per the posts you have on the FL, the style of this hat would be sharp on you.
It even works well when I am playing the acoustic guitar!

Today, I went with my Early 20's, and possibly a tad older Stetson Select. This one has some history to it (can be seen in the hats w/ history thread), and still needs a lot of work. I have been trying to straighten the sweatband back out, as it was rumpled from storage, and in turn, was making the felt have some deep dents on the front and side. Slowly, it is regaining some more life!!
