trying to squeeze in a little recreation time on TFL this morning-- I'm blown away by all of these hats-- very impressive.
A few choice ones:
Alan-- this barbisio looks astounding!
Eric-- the dark moss VS-- excellent choice!
David-- All these Borsalinos, wow! What a cool shot in front of the tree.
Dinerman-- nice hat-- GREAT photo!
Ale-- You have inspired me to check out W&W more closely. The ones I've seen you wear appear incredible. Their website doesn't show them nearly as effectively. Awesome lid.

Ulimate tilt this morning, Ale!

I like the W&W hat. You seem to have an unlimited supply of them.

Thanks, David. The tilt keeps getting severe and severe lol! Living in NYC it's unavoidable not to own a few W&W they are fantastic.

Thanks, Jeff. They are incredible, indeed! I agree with you, their site doesn't do justice in showing them accurately. They need better shots...

Today I'm wearing my Stetson Royal Deluxe doing some rodbuilding and yard work. This is the first wear after my sweatband replacement - my first one performed by myself. It's a little sloppy but not too bad.

Yes!

I like that Pesca, David. Veronica looks like she needs a smaller size.

Mike, nice work on that sweat. Doesn't look sloppy at all. How long of a thread did you start out with?

About three feet - but I have no idea what I'm doing :)
It works for me - this is a really comfortable work hat that I plan on wearing out over time.

Thanks Chepstow! This one's my favorite :D.

You're absolutely correct. I was inspired by the simplicity of the BotP hats and chose a style Major Moore at Buckaroo Hatters calls "Mountain Man", though I requested a slightly higher crown.

Fit of folded up newspaper under the sweatband and she'll be fine! :D

Neo - the Buckaroo is looking good, the ribbon/band is exceptional. I take it 100X is Maj. Moore's, 100% beaver? A lot of x's!

Heading out to do some Saturday shopping- My new VS!
Nice one, Brando! And I must say, you're a brave man to mix it up with the shopping hordes today, the 2nd craziest shopping day of the year.

Spencer, very cool b & w shot. You have more than your fair share of elan.

Neo, that's a bold custom. You wear it with a good deal of presence. :eusa_clap

Thanks DJH!

Did I say X? Whoops, meant to put 100%.

And thanks, Randooch :). For all my lone-wolf personality, there's a part of me
that's flambouyant. I figure my penchant for big hats and wide brims is evidence of that part of me making itself known lol.

Brando, I really like that Charcoal/copper combo on that VS. Very nice :eusa_clap.

Dinerman, that's a great-looking widebrim.

Alan, that hat looks elegant!

Ah, I looked on the Buckaroo site and the good Major does indeed use XXX's to identify the fur blend. 100X = 100% beaver, 50X = 50% - you know the rest.

I'd love to be able to come over to Fed Fest and meet Maj. Moore and everyone else - I'll have to see if I can somehow pull it together.

Neo-- it looks great! BOP with a higher crown and curled brim, sort of. And the band is really striking too. Did you post a detail of that band on the Buckaroo thread? Seems to me you did.

Today I brought two hats with me to work. One new Royal Deluxe Stetson bowler:

And one Stephen Stetson customized Lord's Hat:
