Picked up a nice Olive Green Stetson Campaign hat with chinstrap on a goodwill auction last night.
Just couldn't resist for $25
Pics look almost new and has the original box, so no "goodwill envelope" for this hat lol

…but the one they didn’t show the interior of intrigued me. I love a mystery.

Was just waiting for this one to come. A Long Oval Dobbs 1950's brown, originally from Filene's in Boston. It arrived with a little dust, but in perfect condition, either very well-kept or little-worn. It's a keeper, for sure.

Alrighty now!... just got an ebay notification that I evidently just bought my first fur felt Borsalino... a silver Allesandria! ( already had one brainded hemp). Ive been looking for a hat similar to the Borsalino that the archer Fred Bear always wore for ages now. Modest crown, Bound brim, 2-1/2" brim, narrow ribbon, wind cord. This one looks really clean. Hopefully just a little steam and some time on a brim flange will have it all spiffy and cool.

Really looking forward to getting it in.

Went to pick up the hats (and some other winnings) from the estate auction about 90-minutes from here).

These were apparently part of a theatre costume department.

Similar result to the last black hat mystery.

The sweatband is pretty toasted.

This was a surprise though!

My size hardly ever shows up in this hat style / age, so I may just have to keep this one and get a new sweat.
