This should be in the WTF thread. Then there should be a law against wearing this thing.

Got my first hat from Agnoulita - a modified bowler, wider brim, slightly shorter crown.

The brim came completely flat - a quick steam with the Jiffy and it was a piece of cake to get it the way you see below.

Overall, very nicely made hat, I'm very happy with how this came out.

Hat is silver rabbit, with a charcoal ("Iron") ribbon.

Here are the specs:

The ASCOT
• 22 3/4 in - 57.8 cm
• Head Shape: Regular Oval
• Felt Weight: Dress Weight
• Rabbit Fur Felt Color: Silver
• Overall Stiffness: Extra-Stiff
• Brim Stiffness: Hard
• Crown Height: 4 3/4”
• Brim Width (After Roll): 2 1/2"
• Pencil Curl: 3/4"
• Ribbon hatband width: 1 1/4"
• Ribbon hatband color: Contrasting
• Ribbon Hat Band Color: Iron
• Brim-edge Ribbon Binding: Contrasting
• Brim-edge ribbon binding color: Iron
• Sweatband Color (Inside): Burgundy
• Lining Color (Inside): Teal

Nice hat.
Did you request any modifications or is it a cataloged item? What was the wait between ordering the hat and you receiving it? Thanks in advance!

Thank you sir!

Several customizations on a cataloged item, all using their website interface.

Here was the starting hat:

https://www.hnc-hatworks.com/en-us/products/the-ascot

Besides changing all the colors (felt, both ribbons, sweatband, liner all changed from default), I also altered:
1) Crown decreased from 5" down to 4 3/4"
2) Brim size increased from 2 1/8" to 2 1/2"
3) Hatband decreased from 1 1/2" to 1 1/4"
4) Stiffness from hard/hard to extra-hard/hard (crown/brim)

And... they nailed it. In fact, I had done a photoshop mockup (which I did not show them!) and the real thing came out pretty close to the photoshop (attached).

I ordered on July 14th, arrived on Aug 15th (I'm in Missouri - it spent about 4 days in customs in Illinois)

The felt feels similiar to Akubra felt -- pouncing is acceptable, but it's not a super-fine feel, like my Art Fawcett or 2005-era AdventureBilt beavers.

Thanks. His delivery times are fantastic for a custom hat. I have several of his rabbit and hare hats but my first beaver is in his queue. It has been delayed three weeks due to not having my chosen ribbon in stock. Mr. P claims his quality of materials and build have really improved in the last few years and I’m curious to see how it turns out.
