What hat are you waiting for today?

I'm half-way through the dreaded "four month wait" at Everything Australian, and now their website includes an additional note for out-of-stock Akubras that says, "Leaves Warehouse in 6 Months (made to order)". Between this and the various styles they've discontinued I'm beginning to wonder if I'll actually get it.

*sigh* Still waiting, still wondering, especially since the "four month wait" expired two days ago. I'm guessing I'll be waiting the full six months, then I'll have to contact EA for a delivery estimate and, if I'm lucky, not get a response to the effect of, "Oh, that hat in that color was discontinued nearly a year ago. Didn't you get the e-mail?"

I have an older one (sitting on a bike) so it looks like they changed quite a bit over the ensuing decades.

It’s hemp. This is a Peters Bros. Custom that I ordered a couple weeks ago. I asked for a pecan ribbon that should be sewn on this coming week and then it’s just ship time from Fort Worth.

I believe the ribbon is in the 1 1/2” range. With a six inch crown and that shallow crease it should be tall and a thin ribbon would only accentuate the height. Should be soon.
