I like the Stratoliner and that is a nice color. I have never seen a Stratoliner with the name Stetson instead of the Stratoliner airplane pin.

I’m serious that I bought the hat, I’m not serious about the modifications. I’ve...err...”converted” a few hats that were better left unmolested. I’ve (mostly) learned my lesson. If the hat doesn’t fit I’ll pass it on. I just couldn’t pass up the chance to own a 7X Clear Beaver in something close to my size.

My man, I’m a fan of wool hats in certain applications, but for me a Homburg is not such an application. There are a lot of vintage fur felt hats floating around even at your size. I’d encourage you to give that a good look. Are you sure of your size? I don’t have a dove gray homburg that I’m willing to let go, but I have a charcoal gray Borsalino homburg in 7 5/8. Send me a PM if you’re interested. Otherwise, a couple weeks searching eBay will usually get you something. Good luck.

I'm waiting for a super fino Havana Panama hat from Panama Hats Direct. I guess it's somewhere between Fl. and WI. today. It might get here today. I consider the entire thing rather 'iffy'. If I get it and love it, great. If it's not at all what I ordered or if it never shows up at all, that's OK too.

I was able to figure out which were the Borsalinos I bought from Anthony sight unseen from his Instagram page. I also found pics of the Angora posted by him here in the FL.
This one already arrived in Texas. I just have to go get it, or wait until he visits.

I was able to figure out which were the Borsalinos I bought from Anthony sight unseen from his Instagram page. I also found pics of the Angora posted by him here in the FL.
This one already arrived in Texas. I just have to go get it, or wait until he visits.

Stetson 7X Clear Beaver sans ribbon

I’ll cut the brim down to 2.0 inches put in a cotton sweatband, and maybe take the magic markers to it to make me my own Stratoflage.
