What happened to the thread I was reading????

I was reading a new thread where the OP posted a review of a new "AERO Sheene", complete with photos, and a rather lengthy (albeit negative) review. I was about to give some advice and share my POSITIVE experience (since I just received a very similar jacket from Thurston Bros.), but the thread began to disappear. First, I couldn't reply...next the thread was missing altogether. Did the OP do something against the rules? It seemed like he was just sharing his experience.

It appears that the OP first deleted his three posts, and all of his photos and review. That left the thread with no context and I believe it was then removed.

The OP-er deleted his original review after Carrie at Thurston offered to help. So, sans context, the rest of the posts kind of lost their point and the thread was locked.

The OP posted a negative experience that he had without first contacting the vendor. When the vendor responded to the thread and offered complete resolution for the OP, the OP then deleted all of his his posts, leaving the thread making no sense whatsoever.

ProteinNerd, it was more a case of a miscommunication than anything else, OP wanted a single piece back and got the standard with a kidney panel instead, but his jacket did have some issues that I personally wouldn't be all that happy about either - though I wish the thread hasn't been deleted. From what I understood, it was the OP who deleted all his posts or something, but it isn't a bad idea to have such complaints pop up from time to time, as they're good quality control.

Yep, agreed, also something that could do the vendor only good.

will a leather panel leave holes or will it heal/ close back when some stitches being taken off, and re done? and is a single plain back panel something desirable, it would be rather shapeless right?

Stitching always leaves holes, there's nothing you can do to heal the leather. Leather repair shops can hide the stitch marks but that won't fix the holes, just cover (or fill) them.

For most people, single panel back is more desirable, yeah, but that's entirely subjective. Though I personally prefer having a kidney panel on my MC jackets, I'm not too fond jackets with the back made from multiple panels. On cheaper leathers, this usually means that the jacket's been made from scrapes stitched together. So yeah, all in all, having a single piece back is a good thing, I suppose.

ah, now I get the reason behind single back panel
it is hard to make form fitting back in thicker leather that way though, in lamb probably tailor can do darts here and there to give some shape, not sure it can be done in thick hides.
