Boston Scally Co., "The Workhorse". This version is described as having a "tan" canvas outer shell, but it's far more orange than tan, and the brim is covered in brown corduroy. Nice, comfortable cap, and, though there was no mention of it on their website, I think there's a bit of insulation in the crown between the outer cotton shell and the inner layer of flannel:

Not the worst cap I've seen (or owned).

I prefer my caps with a much wider crown tbh.

I think the majority of the male members here do as well based on the comments. I don't think those look quite right on my head though, so I prefer the more "streamlined" versions. Boston Scally Co. does produce a few styles that are a bit wider, but still nothing like the flat caps of the early-1900s.

Oh, and here are their other "Workhorse" caps, just to show off the colors:

So far there's been no mention of this being available in other colors, but these are still a new addition to the website so there might be others in the not-too-distant future.

Wore my Old Reliable, a cotton canvas 8/4 panel from @Johnny J in charcoal gray to pick sunflowers, eat farm fresh apple fritters and pretend it’s autumn. Thinking of picking up another canvas cap in khaki but that tends to be a harder color for me to bond with.

Love the charcoal gray canvas cap. I have one and it is easy to wear. I agree about the khaki. I have a couple in that hue and they are hard to pair I have thought that choosing the khahki hue in warm or cool colors may be the real challenge. I have a couple pairs of gray canvas "khaki pants," aka casual pants. The past 2 years I have been finding myself more frequenter choosing them to do off duty escapades. My wife tells me that it because I am getting old and I care less about paring my casual clothing. I suspect she is partly correct, but my internal thoughts say I do not know that to be true. They are cool gray and easy to pair cool and warm stuff.

Here is to internal thoughts for marriage success! This is a lot of words to say that you cap is sharp and appropriate for your shenanigans.

Best, Eric -
