What Cap Are You Wearing Today?

Your cap pic featuring the jaunty tip of the cap brim and swoop to one side reminds me of the Stetson ******* advertising of old.

You have the cap at a jaunty angle and it reminds me of the advertising I have framed in my wardrobe. The above pic is of a Stetson ******* advertisement. The fellow on the right middle (brown hat) is a "College Man."

Perhaps we should come up with a Fedora Lounge "poster" featuring cap wearing options?

I tip the brim of my cap in your direction this morning.

Long time since college! I had a newsboy I wore all through high school and college before the poor thing finally wore out.

Just remember, as we all know, the only reason to wear a cap backwards is at the wheel of an open top 1920s Bentley or Aston Martin and with a pair of goggles.

This morning I have been gallivanting about in a Well Dressed Head denim material cap.

Bronson A3 cap in pre-war denim. As noted elsewhere the 'Army Air Force' - no 's' - on the stamp is a bit of an oops, but nonetheless it has served me very well this Summer, and been a bit of a go-to when the weather is too hot for something lined and 'dressier'. Desperately hoping this current heatwave will dissipate soon - it's mid-September, more or less, and it'll be 32 Celsius here in London. Can't wait for it to drop by twenty degrees and to be able to wear a coat again. It's ridiculous it's too warm for anything more than shirtsleeves today. It should be Autumn! Bah.

Thanks - the shirt is a Cathcart London (SJC as then was) from a couple of years ago. They vary year to year on the available colours; I hope they bring back the stripes sometime. Not the cheapest polo on the market, but I still wear the ones I have from the first run in 2016, and they're still good. Mine get worn hard for about six months of the year.

I'd love to see Florida one day, but I'll have to be careful when I travel, with my genetic condition that causes me to struggle with the heat (the technical medical explanation id "being Irish" ).

Sunday work escapades found me wearing a Cordova cap. The Fox Brothers wool is called Polo Flannel. The wool is not bright white and as such gets more wear than I thought. The wool does not hold dirt or spots any more than other Fox flannel materials. The rain sprinkles in the afternoon did not show after drying out.

Those are 8-Darts, right? Veeeery sharp, really like the shape of the crowns!

Yes it is an eight dart, or 8 point cap. I read the oldster advertsing and I see "point" as most of the descriptions of like caps.

The Wabash denim material is stiff enough to maintain the side profile. It gives the cap a terrific shape. Jonathan Cordova has been very good at providing me caps that are stiff enough on the sides to maintain the shape. As a bald headed guy I like the side profile look as well as providing the cap to at most touch only the top of my bald pate. The sides support the top very well.

I have a first world opportunity as I can select a variety of different styled caps from my cap rack.

I must confess.
About a month ago a read every page of "The Cap Faction" thread. It took a few weeks and I scrolled pretty fast through some it. It's a shame that many pics are not viewable. Well, somewhere in that thread I saw your green Harris Tweed cap with the belt back. I loved everything about that one! So I basically copied it, but with a different fabric.
There... I feel better.
