Sweater: Knit from 1930's Pattern
Skirt: Hand-me down 90's Gap piece
Shoes: Leo's New York T-Strap Character Shoes

Worn to the last night of the Fort Worth Jitterbug Jam.

Maggie, both "cute" and "professional", I'd say if there was anyone doubting you're a knockout they shouldn't be anymore!

Umm... you will let me know when I can pry my jaw out of the floorboards and work my eyes back into their sockets, right?;)

As for me, "standard daily uniform", pics already posted so I see no need to waste server-space on repetition. (I'm already on admin's craplist enough as it is...)

maggie, I LUV that sweater! ^

Thanks! I knit it myself ;) It's the 1930's sweater that just about everyone has knit. I love the yarn I used because its a bit pearlescent.

Here's my latest ebay aquisition. It's a black and white Kuppenheimer DB.
The hat is gray, but came out brown due to the flash. Please excuse the
double posting, I have this same picture in "suits" as well.

Please send me a list of approved labels.

lt's not meant as a put down Alan. l'm just saying that most of your other highend canvassed coats look better than the Brioni. lt's only an observation (l think l recall other people making similar comments about that Brioni [in other forums]). lt's only clothes Alan, there's no hard feelings on my behalf. The Brioni just doesn't look right on you mate.

Why?What kind of comment is that?

Brioni is a power suit. Big and confronting in the shoulders. Ministers (l feel) should wear a more humbling suit that is less intimidating. lt's all about the suit here and the profession, it's not about Alan.

Alan looks very very good in Oxxford. Very smart minister wear.

Regards.

I humbly disagree with your opinion on what ministers should wear.I also agree It's not about Allen. It's the minister thing I take offense to.Nuff said I'm done moving on now.......

Rather simple today:

Early '50s gabardine Penney's "Gentry" sport coat
1940s yellow/navy blue knit tie
Tan wool gabardine trousers-dated 1944
1940s/early '50s? "U Wing" Slip-On shoes

P1020514.jpg

P1020517.jpg

The shoes are very similar, and actually closer in color, to these slip-ons found in the Montgomery Ward 1952-53 Fall And Winter catalog, page 469. The flash highlighted to wear creases on my shoes more than they appear in person.
