Another view of me today, this time seated with a good view of my bamboo walking stick (silver band) and Allen Edmonds cordovan wingtip brogues.
I never watch this thread, just saw this.Last night for dinner out and Joe Bonamassa at the Mars Music Hall.
Top down:
40’s Swann Abram’s ‘Kentucky Colonel’ in Clear Nutria.
RLPL 3 button corduroy blazer. Sort of a hacking jacket clone.
RRL cotton brocade lapel vest.
RRL white poplin western shirt with marble snaps.
RRL vintage 5 pocket black jeans.
Bob Wilson boots.

This blazer was bought from a trader at a festival. The hemline, pockets and lapels all looked very shabby but the jacket itself looked almost unworn. Tina assessed that it was probably made to measure by an inexperienced tailor. The price was a steal and two days in the lady's cabin, where she unpicked all the untidy finishes, trimmed and aligned the pockets and lapels and it was good to go.
She made the shirt and trousers to compliment it, the Gamble & Gunn bespoke hat was already in my wardrobe and the shoes are yet another fine pair from that talented cordwainer, Colin Johnson.
What a kind compliment, thank you. Now retired, well semi-retired, I help out at work as and when. This morning I have been asked to call on a new account, spend a few hours with them, each of us familiarising ourselves with the other's "modus operandi."
I mainly post in the Workware part of the Lounge, but I do love all types of style when it comes to mens clothing, so I love coming here to lurk and watch all the incredible outfits from our more "dressed up" membersWhat a kind compliment, thank you. At three am this morning, the bladder insisting on being relieved, in the bathroom I heard the howling wind outside, the rain lashing down against the window, and thought: "I must be mad!" Being retired is all well and good but there's only so much daytime TV or the internet that one can tolerate. The stimulus of work is like no other, besides, wearing my hat around the house would have Tina thinking that I am ready for the funny farm.

Today's blazer is an exquisite, made to measure, by John Parrett of Fox Tailoring. https://www.foxtailoring.co.uk/ Yesterday's hat, trousers and shoes get a rerun. The shirt, Tina made and presented me with it on Christmas Day morning. I wore it to church that day, which pleased the lady.
Dressed up, another compliment, thanks again. Contrary to what you might perceive I do have a couple of rather good leather jackets, one of which you might just make out in this photo. The Harley motorbike was my mid-life crises, well not a crises just a teenage itch that took a long time to scratch.I mainly post in the Workware part of the Lounge, but I do love all types of style when it comes to mens clothing, so I love coming here to lurk and watch all the incredible outfits from our more "dressed up" members
Cheers mate and hope you and the lady have a great weekend!
That's awesome mate! thanks for sharingDressed up, another compliment, thanks again. The photo is so contrived. We were in a large function hall, the dance floor with a stage at one end type of place. Some friends hadn't seen the Harley before and had us pose on it. Hence my wife's dress and my dance shoes. The bike was sold after about five years. My old age crises is a 1947 classic MG car.

The denim suspenders are most unusual, can't say that I have seen the like before. On magnification I could see that they were button fastened, well done. Don't ever buy clip on, they are more clip off than on.Today my fav Vintage 1902 Levi Strauss with the LS & CO denim suspenders, old collarless shirt, old brogue boots and my tweed, Baker, flat cap
Thank you, me either, I couldn't believe when I found them, especially as the buckles were Levi Strauss marked, I have other vintage suspenders with leather tab ends, I hate clip ons hahaThe denim suspenders are most unusual, can't say that I have seen the like before. Keeping an eye on the weather, this will be my choice for today. After we have been to church we are meeting up with some friends and dining out for Sunday lunch. A grey trenchcoat will protect me if the heavens open up but I will change the hat, this bespoke Susquehana is far too expensive to risk a soaking.
The shirt and trousers are the work of my talented wife, Tina. Fox Tailoring did the blazer and the gifted cordwainer, Colin Johnson, made my shoes.
You are right, it is a boating blazer, well spotted and thank you for your kind compliment, much appreciated.Thank you, me either, I couldn't believe when I found them, especially as the buckles were Levi Strauss marked, I have other vintage suspenders with leather tab ends, I hate clip ons haha
I love your ensemble, very classy especially those shoes and jacket, looks like a boating blazer, the nice hat sets it off totally
