Just got this lovely vintage 1930s Stetson in the mail yesterday, got it off Alan. Almost flat (which is my preference for a 3" brim) but it's got a subtle curve up and I'm going to leave it as is for now because I'm kind of digging it.

I'm in love already. A tad tight but I think once it shapes to my head we'll be in business.

Have a good day,

Michael, how do you find the donegal tweed in terms of durability? Some say that the pants wear out quickly.

I'm not seeing any wear on these, Peter. I can't say anything about it's wear history, but I'm pretty sure it dates to the early 50s and no wear is evident. I was worried it would be snag prone as it's loosely woven and the yarns are very low twist, but, knock on wood, it hasn't happened yet. I might shy away from wearing it on my bicycle, much as I would like to, in fear of shining the pants seat. As it is, I expect it to outlast me.
