Sproily, you have a true gift for matching patterns, and throwing vintage pieces together in a way that feels authentic but living rather than costume-y. Neither of these are easy to do. I always look forward to your posts. Very well done!

Hello Widebrim
Thanks for the Welcome. I really didn't know what Richman Brothers exactly was. Thought it was some haberdashery or tailor label. Thanks for your info.
Greetings

Your comment says a lot about the wearing of vintage clothing, PH, and it does certainly apply in the positive to Sproily. I have seen some vintage-wearers, both in person and in photographs, that come under the latter category of "costume-y." Those who wear clothing in such a way that it becomes, as you term it "living," know how to prevent said clothing from wearing them, and this is something that one can especially see in person (although it can still be somewhat discernible in photographs). Besides Sproily, Cary (can't recall his handle, but the ice cream cat from L.A.), Miss Tuppence, CrazyDaisy, Dale (Frankie Lamb), Mario, and FlatFootFloey, to name a few. When you look at them, you feel transported into another time, and not to the old Western Costume Company over in Hollywood...

Wow Sproily, You have the greatest fortune in being able to find some of the neatest vintage items of clothing and deft skill to be able to pair them all together. Well done with that leather winter look. Dig on the sweater there as well.:eusa_clap:eusa_clap I always enjoy seeing what you offer up here.

Cheers!

Nice. I love those gloves!

After a long weekend of work-related residential, on top of a conference last week, I was feeling lazily rockabillyesque this morning....

And seeing this I remembered I had a dream about you the other night. A sure sign I spend too much time on this board! :p
