A bit late, but that's because my internet connection was down for most of today.

Went to the theatre last night with my parents to watch the Andrew L. Webber musical "Love Never Dies". Wore this:

Wonderful outfit, Shangas. You combined a black jacket to the waistcoat, I suppose? And that is a big tie knot again, suits you perfectly! What is it? Double Windsor, Grandchester?

Sadly I don't have a black jacket. I have a very dark blue one, however. But I didn't wear that to the theatre. I reckoned it was too much to wear for two hours of sitting in a chair doing nothing. But I had considered it.

Originally I was going to wear all black, but that seemed a bit...I dunno. Weird. So I went for something a bit more colourful.

The tie's done up in a modified double-windsor. I've taken a liking for the Windsor knot. Plus I'm such a small guy to begin with, a skinny knot like a Four-in-Hand would probably look weird.

I'm such a small guy to begin with, a skinny knot like a Four-in-Hand would probably look weird.

And I would think it more commensurate with your physique. When I see the photo my eye is drawn immediately to the Windsor knot. I just don't think that any single item of apparel or accessory in an outfit should draw that much attention.

That said I salute your dogged determination to wear a tie!

I thought it was right at the time, but I really shouldn't have worn that tie with this outfit.

I think the tie works with the jacket, but the jacket is too small. Can you close the jacket?
