Channeling my Grandpa

Carhartt pants, dress shirt, Georgia Boot Romeos and of course, the ever-present fedora. Just like my Grandpa. Miss him dearly.

Overdressed for the last night of Beginning Rhumba class, followed by a potluck, at the YMCA. Daughter Sarah went with me tonight and took all the pictures.

vintage 1950s fur stole, vintage ruched below elbow gloves, Vintage-Inspired 30s evening gown, bought several years ago at Nordstrom.

me as glam Ballroom Dancer, upon arrival:

Completely spent:
At almost the end of the night, soaked in sweat- from having had the Rhumba class, lots of practicing, then doing about eight Ballroom and Western line dances!

Yesterday was my little brothers Abi-Ball (something like prom-ball in germany)

I don't wear vintage in this pictures. But all the young men only had poly-blend suits in black and grey...[huh]

And one with my brothers and my father. I love my family.

Congrats and best wishes to Djgo-cat-go and his family, too! Two more weeks! So exciting! It's your first one, isn't it? You two look like the most beautiful parents. I am sure your junior will be a winner too :)

Wow - tell me about that jacket. It's a stunner. I've been looking for a jacket like that for a long time. Who's the label?

Thanks Lionheart. It's a faux leather jacket I found in a thrift shop in England. The wife and I always like to rummage in other country's thrift shops. The label is Whispering Smith of London.

I thought despite the coat not being actual leather, it's style allowed me to overlook that bit of negligence. You can't even tell by looking at it that it is not leather but you can "feel" that it is not real leather.

I hope that helps. Take care.
