No gloomies here. Everything's rose-y?? NOT- but at least my clothes are... Worn today in No. California's HOT, HOT, TOO HOT weather- knit fabric rose print dress, bought probably 15 years ago at local dept store for maybe $19.99 on sale. Easy to wear, an oldie in my wardrobe but a goodie. Gold embossed bangle and gold bangle with rhinestones bracelets bought in Rhodes, Greece in 2004 (not seen with my hands behind my back!). Goldtone and pink crystal earrings- homemade. Old, old Nordstrom pink sandals. My legs are tan enough this year to skip the hosiery! Hair ponytailed to beat the heat. Both pictures here were taken by my almost 16yo daughter Sarah- a good photog for me!

from late Thursday evening: dark chocolate brown RL boot leg cords, rose print "chocolate" printed tshirt, large pearl drop earrings, all Nordstrom. Hair pulled back off my face again.

I'm a Social Ballroom Dancer- one of my many alter egos! As I was attired on Friday 6/11/2010 evening for Beginning Rhumba class taken for and with my almost 14yo son Daniel (I'm a high intermediate level Ballroom Dancer) at the local YMCA, then we two went out for more general Ballroom Dancing at my old and best Ballroom Dance haunt in Palo Alto. It was a very warm night to be dressed all in black, dancing for almost 3-1/2 hours! By the time I left PA I was soaked in sweat! A GOOD workout!

Knit jeweled bodice, fitted black sweater found at a second shop, knit black skirt from Kohl's. Go Go Dance nude Ballroom shoes. Both gold bangle bracelets bought in Rhodes, Greece, black and crystal earrings from Nordstrom. I had pantyhose on as usual for Friday night, but too hot to put them on today for taking this picture.

HA! My head is turned in this photo as I'm trying to look oh, so DRAMATIC here- for dancing Rhumba or a Tango! But my head is turned the WRONG way, I should be looking to my LEFT collarbone/shoulder, over my dance partner's RIGHT collarbone/shoulder for proper BD frame position.

This was today after church. The jacket is new (light-weight wool in a silver-gray herringbone), but the tie is one of my Dad's old ties from the early '60's.

GI, that's a good outfit. Is that an original rucksack or a Schipperfabrik repro?
Schipperfabrik....... i was sceptic, but is good Quality and comfortable to wear as daypack.

I was sceptical too, but my Schipper rucksack (the OD version) is still holding up well after more than two years of heavy use, both in town and on the hills.

Your shades of brown and kahki work well.
