Here's yet another shot, I'll just list what it's composed of

lounaspuku.jpg

Late 50's black peaked lapel jacket
20's-30's lapeled waistcoat
30's morning suit trousers
30's dress boots
50's spats
20's pocket watch and slightly more recent chain
10's-20's white chamois gloves
50's cuff-links and suspenders
50's detachable collar shirt and new collar from vintageshirt.co.uk
New silk Ascot and recent tie pin

Sproily, one day, I am going to kill you.

WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK SO DAMN AWESOME!? You're making all us other young chaps feel like dirt!

*Runs off sobbing*

Oh man Shangas you have to move to Finland.. Vintage clothing is fair game here, nobody else wants it.

I just recently bought a nice carbon blue belted back overcoat with silk lining and patch pockets for 2€ and two tux jackets for 4€.. That day I saw two 30's tuxes but they were too big or too small. Also a few other tailored suits.

They are out there.. I don't even need luck :)

Thanks for the compliment! (I guess a death threat is technically a compliment lol)

You're all too kind

My brother's moving to London in a few weeks to stay there for a few years to work. Once he's settled in, the family's flying to London to tour Europe, maybe.

If it all works out, I may just have to go to Finland and steal your wardrobe and fly home again...

Could you at least try and steal his wardrobe without killing him?

Mario,
Are you feeling ok my good man?

You have RED accessories! Some color looks good on you sir! :eusa_clap

Let me see...well, yes - if I remember it right, I was feeling ok while the photo was taken. Just trying to figure out where I left my keys...

And yes: a little shock of color can sometimes change the whole appearance. And I alway loved a gray/red/black combo.

Yeah it certainly happens. I'm lucky that some people know to bring them to recycle centers around here.. But I'm sure tons of the proper stuff just end up on landfills...

Finally - two pretty days in a row here in WNC, so the pic turned out a bit too bright! Wore another of the suits I had made in Afghanistan to Church today - this one is of dark blue flannel, single breasted with peaked lapels - this is some of the tailor's material - I got him to use overcoat material to make the suit.

I don't have the bottom button of my vest done up - this is one of those 5 button vests the tailor insisted on making - I did everything - drew a picture, showed him illustrations, held up 6 fingers -everything. And he still would not make me a 6 button vest - thank goodness for the very high waisted trousers!

The only vintage item in this photo is my tie - a late 30's/early 40's Botany in Dress Royal Stewart tartan. Shoes are 10 year old Allen Edmonds, Hat is a 20 year old Borsalino, and the fountain pens are a fairly new Shaeffer and a brand new Parker.

Hey Mountain Man, that's a cool suit!

**Hands watch and chain**

Here, you can borrow this for today. What's those pens clipped into your waistcoat pocket?

Dutchess, that's a wonderful dress :) You look like you're going out to dinner.

That's exactly part of the problem here in Berlin: Nobody wants it - so nobody sells it! :(

Oh well... you in Berlin are still happy to have some shops specialised on vintage clothing (albeit not at the Finnish 2-4 EUR price range). Here in the darkest provinces close to the borders, there is nothing but 1980s stuff...

@ Mary: You just made me fall off my chair! That ex BF is an idiot for sure ;)
