Such a pretty coat! I love the pattern--is it raised like a brocade?

In contrast to a suit, here's my daily working attire:

GiantDecorticationFlakesm.jpg

Typical day recording archeological sites in the desert. It was a cool, windy day, so I have on a denim shirt, Orvis Canvas Front vest, and LL Bean barn jacket. Pants are just some khakis from JC Penney's and the boots are Swartzkopf-era desert boots. The hat is, of course, the Akubra Riverina; quite a hot hat at the moment!

The thing I'm displaying in front of my field notebook is a giant decortication flake from a quartzite cobble. Biggest I've seen, and removed with a great deal of skill.

Thanks, all, for kind words!

Jovan; is that the same suit you posted earlier? Still looks good, very Mad Men.

Miss Hannah; I'll back up the compliments about your figure, - the skirt really suits you.

Mart: That's impressive as always. I'm considering stealing your lapel fly idea - a fly-fishing friend of mine makes them, so I'll get him to make a couple of colourful ones. And I could really use your POW check braces today, as you can see...

Stanley van Buren: That's a very nice suit and combo - I have a very similar suit - a slim cut, like on yours, is key to carrying off pinstripes, I think.

Not too bad if I say so... I've only been doing pin curls for a week.
