I'm back in the office, so I have Classic FM on. It's a UK radio station which plays populist classics (also film scores). Sort of a 'greatest hits of classical music" package. Not the most challenging listen, but very pleasant in the background while I work. They played Eine Kleine Nachtmusik earlier, which always reminds me of my A levels, as that was the first track on the CD that I used to wake me up every day of my A-level period.
Our daughters are taking piano lessons, and to help them learn that girls can and do write and play their own music (as opposed to just singing as "pop stars"), I bought them the Go-Gos first two albums. They also bring back memories of my high school years (and crushes...):
