Beat myself up for missing him live, the couple chances I had. Did you know that's his wife playing rhythym acoustic. Gotta have a pretty quick hand for that.

I've been looking and he doesn't get east of the MS this year. NC next year. Your best bet is Spokane, Missoula or Taft.
Other than in a couple of shows in Texas, he has one in So. California in October. He than has a lot of open space until late January. My hope is that he will fill it with some dates in No. California.

Another Alabama native singing a fine Townes Van Zandt song.

Nice. From one end of the spectrum to the other.

I like Emmy Lou, but that's one song that'll always be Willie and Merle for me.

Dale, I'm with you but every now and then I'll listen to her version. She recorded it around 1977. Awhile before Merlr and Lefty.

I've been on a mad Exotica kick this past year. I set up a Martin Denney, Arthur Lyman, and Les Baxter channel on Pandora. It started when I stumbled a couple of old Exotica albums at a local thrift. I was drawn to the cover art. We have a Danish Modern Zenith console stereo in near mint condition that we bought from a local fix-it shop. We keep it in the dining room and because the console has RCA inputs (for an optional tape deck), I plugged in a little Bluetooth receiver so we can stream music from Pandora during dinner.

:pray2:Dear God, thank you for helping me get, and play the melodeon, and harmonica. I am extremely grateful for these gifts! Amen.:pray2:

After playing with my Mundinger Diaton III for a week, I have improved a bit! In this video, I play the Ennstaler Polka. :D

I recently discovered Alex Mendham and his Orchestra and I've been listening to his cover of Let's Fly Away on repeat for the past few days. Although this cover of the song is not too different from the original Anson Weeks rendition which I do love. I prefer this as when played on a decent sound system it sounds as if I'm in a nice ballroom somewhere in the 1930's. (this is why I cannot thank contemporary golden age performers enough for creating a sound that is authentic and not cheesy and in high sound quality.) I also bought Dandy Wellingtons debut album the other day and have been listening to Greenhouse Stomp a lot, both these songs I've played within the past half hour haha. :)
