Travelling there for 4th of July and the week after. I have been trying to decide which hats to bring, reading this thread is creating quite a conundrum for me. I can wear one on the plane and carry one. BUT WHICH ONES? or perhaps I can convince the wife that I should just purchase while we are there!

By that time I'm sure (hopeful I should say) the weather will be better and sunny. You could wear your straw and bring a light felt just in case. But, after
all, "forgeting" your hat at home may bring you the joy of getting a new one here in NYC. Bencraft and Worth & Worth are heaven!

You know, I did that too but came to the realization that, for me, it just doesn't work. I mean, I don't mind the umbrella-panama combo. I just think that with rain and no sun wearing a straw makes me look silly.
Toda, Friday the 12th of June another boring wet day in NYC. Borsalino light felt, again.
