Of course, a proper Scout always sleeps with her window open, so the work is already halfway done.

Goes without saying, Lizzie. I can't sleep without the window open, any time of year.

I was never any sort of Guide/Brownie/Scout but guess my Mum handed down this sort of advice as standard.
